That's why, Shepard stays with her on board of the SR3. She's the captain, does ground missions like Shepard did - and let him doing all the boring speeches.

Ashley is - at least for me - the one and only sucessor of Shepard.

Sure, why not? Ashley seems to be a capable officer, so I wouldn't be surprised if she was intended to be the XO. After all, it wasn't sure Anderson could get Shepard through the mess.

Yeah, that's my conclusion. With the Normandy originally designated to be Anderson mobile command post (hence the war room addition), Ashley (or Kaidan) was bound to be the ship's XO. At least until Anderson decides to stay and lead the resistance on Earth. If the VS was to become the CO afterwards, Anderson would've given the VS the orders to go the Citadel and get help instead of ordering Shepard to.

So I just finished my first playthrough of ME3 (with my Mirandamance Shep) and got Joker, EDI and Ashley to come out. I was happy that Ash was one of them.

Im pretty sure  the ship was meant to be Andersons Command Centre during the war... When he made Shep commander again it immediatly out ranked Ash... so plans changed at the last minute i guess when Anderson decided to stay on earth and help the resistance.

Shepard's rank is Lieutenant Commander as well. Everyone just calls him Commander for short.

I always thought when he is reinstated at the start of ME3 its at the rank of staff commander as otherwise him and Ash are the same rank and everyone refers to her by her full title.  Probably just me and my headcanon again I suppose but that always seemed to make sense to me or at least a promotion to full commander after the events of ME1.

Shepard was a Commander first, and they refer to Ash as Lieutenant Commander to avoid confusion, since Shepard is the more experienced officer, I believe Ash would refer to his judgement.

At least, that's how I think it works.

I would understand if it came from Shepard/LI bloodline, but just Shepard Liara? Cripes, I don't mind her now, but I don't like her THAT much.

Wait wait hold a minute. How the **** could the child of Liara and Shepard be a human? All kids that are born to an asari mother are Asari. Second how could it be a boy? All asari are females... This is just a load of crap...

Yeah it would seem very awkward if Liara turned up one day with like... 3 blue baby asari  and claims to Ash that they are Shepards. Implications unpleasant........... Even more if Shepard turned out to be alive..... 

What would be even worse is if Liara claimed they were A-... A-...

That's dumb and doesn't make any sense.  Besides, they didn't even "meld" in that way.  She shared her memories with him.  It wasn't a joining experience.  It was very nice, but Liara would never do that, especially without Shepard knowing what would happen.  

Also, as earlier pointed out - HUMAN.  MALE.  As is the old man who is supposedly the grandfather.

Lacking as in you think what's there sucks or lacking like there's not enough?  There's a search function.  Plenty of Shepley stuff out there.  Though I suppose if you hate all of it, writing your own is an option too!  lol
