Yes, I'm talking about the bonus power. And no, you don't have to wait until the game is completed, as I have already received one of her bonus powers (Marksmanship) not long after she joined the Normandy. As I recall, Kaidan gives his second bonus power sometime later in the game as well but I just can't remember when. I was just hoping that someone here would remember when hers unlocks.

Not sure, but I think you get Ashley's power quite early. Either you get it right after Mars OR after the Memorial scene.

Thanks for the help. I went and checked and apparently I was stealthily bestowed with the Inferno Grenade power without being told (well, that or I got them both at the same time and didn't notice the second pop-up). Regardless, I have it now and thanks for your assistance. :-)

So one thing I liked about ME3 is that during the first mission on mars I was basically able to hint/tell Liara that Ash was important to my Shepard.  I thought it was nice touch with the tension between Ash and Shepard given the events from the 2nd game. 

However, I was annoyed that despite all of this, Liara still wanted the'Let's be more than friends' conversation in presidium commons!  Did she not get the hint?  Actually during my playthrough I thought the biggest obstacle between Ash and Shepard was Liara!  Did anyone else have this experience?

Yeah I felt that Liara was shoved at you from very early on and yeah she's a cool girl and more than happy to have her as a close friend but in ME1 I rejected her in favour of Ash so she should have known the score espicially after the Mars dialogue

I like the post horizon tension with Ash as well it made it seem more real and dragged you into the story, wish you could get Ash back earlier though as romance option not withstanding I really liked the character kudos to Kim Brooks (that is the VA isn't it?)

In my second playthrough when I didnt romance Ash, I friendzoned her (was romanced in ME1 and did not cheat in ME2), i got the renegade-interrupt option to shoot her, ofc I didnt, i managed to persuade her instead. When I romanced Ash i didnt even get he renegade-interrupt. Dont think its possible to shoot her if you kept her romanced.

EDIT: Might have mixed this up with my unromanced kaidan. In ^ those playthroughs the old council was alive, all of them. When i had kaidan there, the old council+new salarian was dead, and I definetly got the renegade interrupt-opt

Hmmm. I used the persuade option at that conversation (it was with my Mirandamance Shep- my Ashmance one is my alt MShep which I'll do after completing FShep1) and the Renegade interrupt I got was where I shot Udina myself. Of course I also bought Ash that Tennyson collection while she was in the Hospital. Wonder if that and the Charm Persuade changed what the Interrupt did.

Actually, I could be wrong in all my assumptions. This game with all the emotions and the let-down-ending has mashed all my memories of the games to a giant goo, cant really think straight anymore

Yeah, those endings are a real letdown. I was a mess yesterday even prior to that, lying to my squadmates, trying to reassure them I (and them too) would be coming back, knowing full well I wasn't. Thankfully, there's always headcanon to retreat to.

If it's 5:45am, then Shepard just didn't go to bed for an entire night. If it's pm time, he does Ashley while on duty ... sly dude, huh?

I wasn't very impressed with Vega. Might have something to do with the fact I've played the entire trilogy and know most of the stuff he's clueless about. I used him on most missions until Ash came back, then it was mainly her and EDI.

Na, used Vega quite often. I like him.

Although must say, he and Ash ... hmm ... plausible, but not as much as Kaidan / Ashley pre-Virmire. I just like to pretend he has feelings for her, mostly 'cause I want to use that plot for my headcanon. It won't harm Shepley, but it definitely adds another flavor to the entire stuff.
