USA accent, which one? Thogh I'm sure all accents are appreciated by the LC.
Maybe you can help me AD: what accent does Ashley have?
Also I may need some special words used in said accent. To make Ash a bit more authentic, you know.
BTW: still need someone checking my texts for grammar & typos ... may update my fanfic tomorrow, I can't finish it today before bedtime

I always thought of Ashley as a latina, but a New York latina if you know what i mean. A jersey girl due to her tough nature. (I don't really have experience of America but i have enough to form my own opinion i guess). Yeah, she doesn't really hit a particular accent really.
Your coming to Britain any time soon ? well if you do, then you should holla at me. I would love to meet you!

Completely off-topic: Noticed that there are some UKers in here. Say could you direct me to a newspaper-website that does reviews for West-End musicals?

Believe me or not, I know the line between "harmless flirting" and "full blown hot stuff".
Harmless stuff is great.
(And for the sake of my woman: she's absolutely loyal & loving. So am I.)
New York accent, huh?
"Any time soon" means some time within the next five years I guess. Time is racing for me and I have a crapton of stuff to do this year. However, one of my cousins lives in London and I definitely plan to visit her. So I guess I just need to do a long trip through the Kingdom, right?
Just wondering if I should bring my fiancee or not. She's not earning any money and a trip to UK is not that cheap ... <_<

Not full blown New York accent, but maybe a little. I cant really pin point it actually. Its... just a normal accent. Kimberly did a great job with her voice though.
Hey!, if you can try to get to Newcastle, i was brought up there, its a nice place. Nice folk, a little prideful (and whatever you do, try not to diss Newcastle United, its a sacred tradition, football team i mean XD) Anyhow, you should visit York as well, nice place to take your fiancee, nice and countryish.. if you like that kinda thing !

Well there are people who don't have accents. I do notice Kim brooks takes sharp breathes when she's making Ashley emotional, theysound like tiny sobs that last less than a second but they have all the emotional effect needed for passionate lines.CptData wrote...

We have so many accents out here. The South has different ones, plus New York, New England. Minnesotans generally seem to speak with a Norwegian accent. I live out in California, but don't seem to notice people out here with much of an accent. Personally, I can pick up an accent pretty quickly, and I seem to have a soft-spot for people with Aussie accents.Clone 071 wrote...

I'm in California as well and Ash sounded like a westerner to me ... we are known for having a "lack of accent". But I guess you could make her from anywhere if you really want.
Oh, Neeh is going to try and give a little Ash love. Just not sure how soon.

@Helm Cardiff is ok, cant really understand the welsh accent though. My ex boyfriend was Welsh and I didnt understand a word he was saying at times... completely over my head, however he didnt come from Cardiff so i understand it was stronger, he was from Swansea.

She is - at least a part of her is. Confirmed by her original writer.
Always saw her as latina - even before her writer said it. She has the fitting character, her brows and overall appearance give that idea. And actually, she's pretty much my dream type - which includes some hispanic hints.
Dark hair, hazel eyes, her beautiful nose, those lips ... DEM LIPS!
So to speak. Hey, maybe next life I'll meet someone like her.
Alternatively ... this life. 'though it's going to be painful then.
Westerner? Hmm, and I thought East Coast accent fits as well.PMC65 wrote...

Now, at least it's none from the Southern.
Newcastle? I'll check it out. ^^
Lets see if I can do a trip this year. Guess would be awesome to talk to some of you UK Ashleymancers.

I had Ashley pegged down as American but like the male shepard I could not tell if it was a particular area, isn't she an alliance kid going from planet to planet dependant on where her Dad is stationed a lot of military familes have a generic accent due to not having time to settle on an accent.
Yeah, she moved around alot during her dads military career, maybe thats why she couldnt formulate a proper accent. Hmm... in any case, Kim did a fantastic job.

Seriously: if this is not yelling "I'm at least part Latina or something" I dunno.
And seriously: I'm a lazy dude, but for that girl I'd double up my exercising just to get awesomesauce Shepard body. Which might take a while ^^
BTW: I always imagined Sarah Williams as a younger version of Ash. She looked entirely different - guess the devs simply didn't get the idea "siblings often share some similar features". Okay, in my case it's not true - my sis looks entirely different. She's hot, I'm not, so to speak

My brother lives in Swansea and I can agree that the Jack accent is not an easy one to understand, Cardiff is very multicultaral and easy to understand.
I think there is definitly hispanic traces in Ashley, the dark hair, slightly tanned skin, strong personality.
