I like Liara and all, but it just seems like she got shoved down our throats. Ashley is my woman, not you.
She'll get her turn on another playthrough.

And yes, before the questions start, I found that out the hard way because I had already gotten the paramour achievement before that playthrough. It's just bs that's forced down us.
"Look, I rejected you face to face in front of Ash and you hoped we'd find happiness together in ME1, Liara. And you start ****ing hitting on me again in ME3 even though I romanced Ash???"
Sorry for my rant.

rants about romances are fine as long as it's not bashing them. That is tough that you can leave Ash/Kai for Liara t's the ultimate slsp in the face imo.
Yeah, the worst part was having to go back approx. 10 hours of gameplay just to correct that. And I hate Sanctuary with a passion. Dang Banshees... Creep the hell out of me.

The achievement: I earned it in my first playthrough with a FemShep romancing Kaidan after initiating it on the Citadel date. So I start my male canon Shep playthrough with a romanced Ash and somehow initiated it with Liara. (I didn't know because the achievement didn't up because I already had it) Even though I rejected her in the love triangle in ME1, the fact that the option still presented itself in ME3 pissed me off. Even moreso because I initiated the relationship on my first MaleShep canon playthrough and then had to go back 10 hours to correct that.ReclaimedHavoc wrote...
I don't really get the rant, what'd you mean about the achievement? And Liara doesn't hit on you, Shep has to initiate it. I just think it's forced because of how often she talks to you compared to others. I do like her character though.

You probably will. I for one did enjoy it more. Even the romance to be honest. I did like Ash's goodbye on Earth better though.ADLegend21 wrote...
I have to do over all of my Kaidan saves because the only two I was able to get off my old Xbox were Ashley saves. hopefully I enjoy him More than I enjoyed Ashley sinc e he has things Ashley doesn't.

Yeah, I rejected Liara when she first brought it up. I didn't mind the option being present though, I wouldn't have picked it. I just find it weird that I can feel Liara still likes me. I don't care for that, she should've hooked up with Feron.Clone 071 wrote...

Also, I know it sucks we got almost no dialogue between Ash joining the crew, and the romance scene, but she has the best romance scene IMO (aside from them being clothed for some reason). I think Tali fans got screwed with their romance scene, that was weak. She also had a very heartfelt goodbye.
I'm still upset though that I didn't meet Sarah.

I can also see all this "Kaidan/Steak sandwich" everyone is talking about. I wish Shepard could make Ashley some food.Clone 071 wrote...

True that. It was like "Hey, I have nothing better to do. Want to get laid again?" instead of "I know you're going through tough times, so I wanted to be with you and keep you company because I care about you."ReclaimedHavoc wrote...

JW, was that comment about Ash or Tali?

Tali. She just wandered in, no second thoughts and just straight up suggested it. Shepard only had one dialogue choice in that matter: Accept or reject.ReclaimedHavoc wrote...

Ash, on the other hand, built up towards it, expressed feelings (I was lost without you), and Shepard could basically reaffrim that feeling back to Ash only with different wording. Not to mention the "I love you" part that hit home for me. I felt it was realistic because I could relate to such. I could immerse myself in Shepard's situation.
Edit: @ADL: Funny how I can see that happen and see Vega say exactly those words when he recovers.
