Sorry if this has already been asked and answered before, but I need to know if I can still make my Shep romance Ashley by choosing the renegade answers in dialogues. I've always used all the renegade choices with Liara and Miranda and they both didn't care too much, and I read on a guide that I had to be all paragon for Ashley. It's kind of not fitting for my 100% renegade Shep..
Also, I guess you have to go visit her all 3 times at the hospital to romance her? Because on my last playthrough I didn't visit her while she was in a coma, and she never sent that email to meet her on the Citadel.
Thanks!

Yeah, and there's the unfortunate part. Couldn't hear what she had to say after ME1 romance and couldn't keep the promise to come back to her in ME3.
I refuse to believe that that crap ending happened. I wanted to come back to Ash, and then drink some beers on the beach with Garrus.
Just wondering, do you guys think, if they give us a new ending, that if they go with indoc/hallucination, Shep will wake up on the ground and realize that his squadmates (in my case Ash and Liara) died anyway?
That'd be even worse.

For the options, I think you have to lean toward Paragon, because Renegade options don't acknowledge the romance.

Shepard: I felt like spoiling you for once. Seems like forever since the last time.
Ashley: You got me some nice Amateratsu Red, a '45 Red - one which I would have had to sell my firstborn for - last week. I think that's spoiling, Skipper.
Shepard: It's been a long week. As I said, it seems like forever.
Ashley: What's on the menu then tonight, Master Chef.
Shepard: First off, we have some salmon steaks, with baked tomato, asparagus with a lemon dressing. Some home made garlic bread and bushchetta as a side dish. Desert's on the patio, a Chocolate Royale mudcake and an old Irish Red to wash it all down.
Ashley: Wow. Can't believe you cooked all of this.
Shepard: Admittedly, I did call my folks for a scrap of advice or two, but yeah. I cooked it all.
Ashley: You remembered not to poison it, right?
Shepard: Unless someone swapped around the 'Salt' and 'Cyanide' labels in the cabinent, nah. It's not poisoned.
Ashley: You're really trying to butter me up tonight.
Shepard: I don't know what you mean?
Ashley: C'mon Skipper. I know you.
Shepard: Oh, do you now?
Ashley: Yeah. You're trying to put me a good mood with all this fancy-shmancy dinner stuff.
Shepard: Maybe I just wanted to cook for you. The most beautiful badass Marine in the galaxy deserves a nice meal every once in a while.
Ashley: Buttering me up isn't gonna work. You're plotting something.
Shepard: Ok, I admit I do have an alterior motive, but it's a surprise.
Ashley: I knew it.
Shepard: Yes, Know me too well, my love.
Ashley: Am I going to like said surprise?
Shepard: You'll just have to wait til desert to find out.
Ashley: You tease. *gives him slow, loving kiss*
Shepard: Always.

You and me both, pal. Got my LI on one side and my bro for life on the other. Heck, Shepard's bound to get drunk by the time this war's over with. Kasumi owes him a drink, Jacob does, Steve already did, and Garrus would keep buying round after round until they pass out or something.I refuse to believe that that crap ending happened. I wanted to come back to Ash, and then drink some beers on the beach with Garrus.
Oh, Lord no. That would be worse if the squaddies were dead when Shepard recovered. I still say they should have gone with their planned out detailed endings for the Battle of Earth, but no, they scrapped that and chose something far worse.Just wondering, do you guys think, if they give us a new ending, that if they go with indoc/hallucination, Shep will wake up on the ground and realize that his squadmates (in my case Ash and Liara) died anyway?

Yeah, I just want an end that's worth all of the fighting.
Honestly what they should've done for the final battle is set it up like the Suicide mission from ME2. Squadmates and War Assets become things to pick from for certain situations, choosing the best option would obviously keep you going in the battle further, while choosing bad options would lose ships, and soldiers. Also giving you the option to send other squadmates to battle. Angry Joe suggested they should have had a specialized cutscene for every main character kicking ass on Earth.
Just talking out loud.

Hah, yeah, technically speaking, you'd be correct. I just find it better to hear in person.ReclaimedHavoc wrote...
I will never understand why they were scrapped. Also, if I awake and my squaddies die, I'll let James and Javik tag along. And also, if we're being technical, Shepard did come back to Ash after the battle of the Citadel, so whatever Ash wanted to say to him, she did say.
An idea brought up elsewhere that I fully support. ME2 SM choices should have been implemented in the Battle for Earth, and it was a shame the concept wasn't kept. Or they could have made it DA:O style where there are allied NPCs fighting alongside you in your fight across "No-Mans Land". I liked having a Mako providing some fire support against a harvester and other ground troops.Honestly what they should've done for the final battle is set it up like the Suicide mission from ME2. Squadmates and War Assets become things to pick from for certain situations, choosing the best option would obviously keep you going in the battle further, while choosing bad options would lose ships, and soldiers. Clone: Great minds think alike I guess. And yeah, the DA:O thing would have worked. You fight solo, but you're accumulated forces and squaddies are all around you. They should have put more emphasis on that, what you built up I mean. Even with that ending, if they fleshed out the battle itself more, It would've been worth it. Despite all the hype, taking back Earth seemed weak considering what it lead to, and what could have been.

For BioWare, it probably is. But yes, I would want to retire with Ash back on Inta'sei in his apartment. (For those of you who completed Pinnacle Station in ME1) Kids? Not yet. Get settled in first.Captin Carter wrote...
Anyone else just really wanting an ending where Shep can just retire with Ash and have a couple kids? After taking care of the reapers of course.
Seriously is that too much to hope for?
But it's about choice. No forced ending though. It should be up to the player how the outcome of the game should be. Heck, I'd want some of my Shepards to go out like badasses with no regrets sacrificing their lives for the greater good of the galaxy.

Why did Ashley seem like an afterthought? Where are all the dialogue scenes between Ashley and Shepard?
There were so many things to say, so many arguments, diatribes, and make-up conversations to be had. And yet she' s on the Normandy and all I get is Zaeed-type one liners?
And in the final fight, why is she the first person to talk to? Wouldn't Shepard want to speak to her last and savour that as a final memory before battle? Liara's cutscene put Ashley's to shame even.
And why was she absent from the final scene? Where is Ashley screaming "No Shepard!" and reaching out one hand to grab at him as he sacrifices himself?
I dunno what else to say. At least I still have this:

It was? Funny how you got a War Asset from scanning that very planet. When did it get blown up?Aurora313 wrote...
Inta'sei was blown up with Pinnacle, but yeah. My Shepard was definately retiring from the Alliance after the Reaper attack on earth. Keep the SpecTRe gig though, maybe the council will make him the 'Head SpecTRe' or something, but mostly he'd stay on the Normandy if only to keep Ash company. Eventually marry her, give her a few kids and be the stay-at-home dad while mummy's off protecting the galaxy.
