There was so much content cut from the end, none of the cut content addresses the problem with closure and epilogue but still a sign that there were rushed to meet the March deadline.

Kinda doesn't work for me: "polished game" <-> "unfinished game".

It's obvious at least 25% of the game's content got cut: "From the Ashes DLC" and the expected "Omega DLC"  were intended as integral content of the original game. Also - as you can imagine when watching Garrus' or Vega's content, a lot of stuff got removed for other characters.

In short: the game isn't complete. Our current hopes are based on that fact BW might reintroduce cut content via DLC. Including VS content.

Pretty much.

IGN got Chobot ingame. They won't ever criticise EA / BW for breaking promises. Basically, I wouldn't count on game magazines support: they want to get early access to games by EA - and if they p*ss them off too much, they won't get any. Also keep in mind game magazines need the money provided by advertising - which also means, if those magazines p*ss off EA, they won't get their money.

That's it. We games are on one side, the magazines are NOT our allies here, EA is on the other side. And BW gets hit from everyone.

probably a stupid question but I know the N7 on Shepard's armor designates his standing as an elite operative and a graduate of the N1-7 programme but what does the S1 stand for on Ashley's armour?

found the answer, the N designation means specforces and the S designation is for Orbital Deployment, Reconnaissance, Infiltration, and Assault Forces. Thank you masseffect wiki :-)

I see not only my Shep had a crush on Ash

Although I didin't see "marriage" in any pre-release materials, but I was looking into getting perfect ending with my LI.

I did all main and side quest in ME1, ME2, stayed faithful through ME 2 and was looking forward to live "my" ending to the story.

Having to choose between three-color death ans seeing Ash leaving on Normandy doesn't exactly counts as "perfect" ending for me.

Even if Shepard survives it's not a happy ending - not even a bittersweet one: he was fighting for the one he loves (or she, for fem!Sheps) but doesn't get the reward to be with the loved one in the end.

In my interpretation of the story, Shepard was fighting for Ashley.

BTW: another wasted opportunity here: Shepard never admits to Ash why he's fighting. Definitely missing dialogue

same here Data, he has spent his life fighting and the only real bright spot is him finding Ashley.

She has already lost him once, does she really need to go through it again.

Well during romance scene just before Cerberus base Shep says that "Ash being with there with him - it means everything" (or something similar).

In my books that can count as saying "I went through all that s**t only for You, so we can be together".

I am amazed on Bioware's coldheartedness.

I am sure everyone of them has a loved one, friends, etc. I wonder if they truly wished to see them dead/stranded on some random planet without chance on rescue.

Is it so truly unique that we wish to see something like this in computer game?

Also, during a conversation with Liara on Mars, Shepard says 'There's so much at stake, I'd just have to think about what I'd lose if I fail.' And he looks directly at Ashley.

I used Ash to lug the heavy gear and be fire support while I moved up. She always carried a Black Widow with a Revenant.

Bless her, the guns looked bigger than she was!
