Garrus' romance works if you consider all the bro-scenes as part of the romance arc.
Liara's romance feels so complete since you have plenty of romantic and non-romantic fluff to watch and enjoy.

Indeed, then again she was made a Spectre after she was landed in the hospital, so it seems appropriate to take it off. Can't say I missed her facial features or the white portion of her outfit.Obvakhi wrote...

I actually felt like Bioware was doing everything they could to make me chose Liara. Why was she even an option when I didn't romance her in the first game? The LI stuff is taken out of ths Shadow Broker DLC in 2 if you don't romance her in 1.
Yeah, and then there's the fact you can even cheat on Ash with Liara in ME3 even if you encounterd the love triangle scene in ME1 and flat out rejected Liara in front of Ash. She doesn't actually.
What they should of done was keep the way her uniform looks now(all blue) in the beginning and then change it to the beta pattern when she becomes a Spectre, so it'll make more sense.

Yeah, I think I remember reading she was made a Spectre before the attack on Earth. Could it be that I misunderstood smth or they changed it before release?

Yeah, I don't blame you there. Jack had tremendous improvement to her character and personality since ME2. Wrex on the other hand was popular from the jump in ME1, even had his moments in ME2, and came back as an even bigger badass in ME3. It's popularity with certain characters. Jack didn't have more dialog but to me the growth it showed in her made it some of my favorite moments in the game and to me it felt like Wrex had way more dialog then Ashley. Wrex having a lot of dialog is not a bad thing, I just wanted more with Ashley.
