My take on it (joking, yet somewhat serious):
Ash and Kaidan were divided in ME1 on who to save on Virmire and since it was 50/50, the new writers decided to half-ass them in the next 2 games.

Lemme do the math:

End of ME1, there's a 50:50 chance Ash might survive.

End of ME2, it's the same chance.

Middle of ME3, a lot of players with kill the VS for being "disloyal and shouting at Shepard on Horizon and Mars". At least 50%, huh? So there's chance of 25% Ash is still around.

Since some of them are no killers but still want to get rid of the VS, another 50% of the rest kick the VS off the ship - makes 12,5% chance of Ash being with you.

We didn't get a half-assed job with Ashley's content - it's an eighth-assed job ...

yup! popularity is what ca change the charcters. Jacob was the least popular I so they gave him to an NPC even if you did romance him!!!! I hate whoever did that to him because he ruied Shepards for me.

That explains why the VS got a quite bad job with regular content:

Kaidan - being hated for "boring, whiney dude" - that also gets killed more frequently than Ashley.
BW redeems Kaidan a bit by promoting him to a bi-sex LI plus being the only human male LI for straight fem!Sheps.

Ashley - being hated for "bigot space racist" - which usually only survives Virmire to feel the survivor's guilt and get dealt later with.

The entire Udina deal seems to please VS haters, not more, not less. At least it's easy to convince the VS to step aside.

But that's just an idea. Not necessarily the truth.

Yeah, that's exactly why I'm not too negative on the lack of VS dialogue issue. Could've been better, but definitely could've been worse.

I only can imagine the taste of Ashley's lower lip ... a bit sweet, a bit like fresh water and something that gives you a funny but enjoyable feeling in the belly.

I'm pretty sure Ashly and Shepard spar regularly depending on the shepard so there's much more than slapping going on. XD

Same face.

Somewhere approx 100 - 200 pages ago, I compared Ashley's old face with her new one. Even the beauty spots are at the same place.
Also BW confirmed they used the original scan - which is 7 years old or something.

Maybe I simply should remove that tag so everyone can see it - until I'm going to add the M-rated stuff.

I call bs. He's the greatest type of guy after his loyalty mission. he'd mourned his father already for 10 years and put what happenedd behind him. it's aocmplete character assasination in ME3 and no one deserves that. It's like saying talimancers deserve to have Tali dead in ME3 from medical compications from the romance scene.
