Anyone realized that last line on page 2?
Think General Robert E. Lee said something like that in the book "The Killer Angels" / the movie "Gettysburg" ...
Somehow the good Admiral Hackett reminds me of General Lee. Don't know why. But he definitely does.

Oh, believe it or not, I actually enjoyed doing the demo multiplayer on the PC better than on the Xbox360. Story mode, not so much as I had lighting issues on my PC at certain points. And certain laggy cutscenes due to graphics.Complistic wrote...

So, I've finally finished the game. Rage at endings aside (and ohhhhmaahhhhhgooooddddddd, am I RAGING!), I loved the Ash romance arc. Loved, loved, loved it. While I would have appreciated some more dialogue with her other than the whole "channeling Zaeed" thing, what there was of it was wonderfully developed and very authentic. I started playing part of ME1 again because I wanted to check a piece of Ash's dialogue for a fic I was writing, and it just really made me appreciate how much she's grown and matured throughout the series. Anyway, Silver's thoughts. Take 'em for what they're worth. ^^

www.fanfiction.net - there you should find some fics - also some with Ash & Shepard.

Ashley Williams.
Why do people hate you?
What did you do, to receive such strong feeling?
You didn't kill Wrex in my reality.
You called me a traitor for a reason.
You apologized.
And you came back.
We sorted things out.
You got hurt, I saved you.
And I visited you, as often as I could.
Then you pointed a gun at me.
I didn't mind it.
And you apologized again.
In the end, we stand together.
Why do people hate you?

Honestly sounds like a fairly common situation here. Great romance arc, not too big on the auto-dialogue, but glad with what was there. And indeed, it is amazing how much she's matured throughout the 3 games. *sigh* Good times.

LOL. That was perfect - and the YouTube comments also made. it. I'm tempted to use ME3 as a coaster until some endfixer comes out, but... Ash... *sigh* Also, SPACE MAGIC!
O hai, Clone! Yeah, I figured those would be pretty popular opinions. ^^

Still, I'm holding out hope that the shuttle crash was all mysticism or the product of a troubled mind. When Joker and Vega came out of that ship with Ash... I died a little inside. Bishes better not get any ideas about repopulating the planet. ^^
Edited because the Normandy is not a shuttle. And the ending isn't an actual end, but who's counting?!

I like the IT explanation, and it makes the most sense to me, honestly. But I think it's something that we're extrapolating out of vagaries at this point, until BioWare can offer evidence that's more concrete.

That's why the IT. I use a slightly modified version for my headcanon: none of the stuff happening beyond the almost-beam-in-the-face is real. Neither the TIM-Anderson-talk nor the decisions - and not the Normandy's crash. Joker would never leave Shepard behind. Never.
So it's a dream - or hallucination - of a dying Shepard. You only see him breathing after taking the destruction option with EMS >4000 (Anderson final talk before decisions) or EMS >5000 (Anderson gets killed by TIM / no talk). That's the only ending where Shepard survives - and was able to defeat indoctrination.
So to speak.

HAAAAAI!
Now to business...
you actually liked Ash's treatment in ME3?! I thought she was terribly gimped on content. I suppose this comes from the fact that somehow I got stuck with the friendship path rather than the romance path. But from what I hear, the only difference is the roll in the hay at the end.
Now to me, Ashley didn't talk nearly enough throughout the game. Once she comes back from the Citadel Coup... what does she do? NOTHING. She lays around drunk on the floor and moves 5 feet either way and never leaves her room. She never has anything to say after missions unless she's babbling about Cerberus more. Like after Thessia... I thought for sure she would have something comforting to say to Shepard... nothing.
Everyone gets these moments on the normandy where they are moving around interacting with other crew members, talking to you about what has happened and you can actually interact with them... making it feel more real. Ashley doesn't do any of that. I was highly disappointed with her in ME3... more so than about the endings.
I could even get over not having her for half the game b/c of the injury and coup... if she would have had something to say about things, if she would have done SOMETHING! ugh.

This is how someone at Bioware should have responded when they were told the ending that was going on the game.
