If there was ever an account of someone resisting indoctrination that would be it!

Probably, the best he could do in that circumstance is use his awesome willpower to divert the target. Make it hit her shoulder rather than her stomach. She'd be hurt, but it improves her chance of survival a bit. And as I state constantly. Shepard's epic Berserker button is making him shoot, or someone else shooting at people he loves/considers friends.

I don't rightly know, but I'm sure hilarity will ensure... especially if Ash starts reading it too and discovers were Shepard gets all his good moves from...

As far as Ash is concerned, What's on Shepard's Omnitool STAYS on his omnitool... She does not need to know what's on there...

Hmm, so that's what happens when I don't pull the renegade interrupt. Gotta try that out sometime now.

Nope, I didn't hesitate as soon as he pulled the gun I took him down.  I didn't understand it being a renegade action after what he had done and pulling a gun on the Asari counselor.

I never waited that long. I was afraid that Udina would kill the asari councilor. As soon as the interrupt popped up, I took it.

Now that I know the VS takes the shot, I might let Ash do it next time.

I love that Ashley-romance Shep carries her like that, as opposed to the fireman's carry... it's so sweet.

I'd only been playing ME3 for an hour or two by that point, and I'm already choked-up and misty-eyed? Gorram BioWare and their deep character interactions!

Same here, I found it touching that Liara helped Shepard snap out of it and told him that he had to get Ash to the Citadel since I know I felt lost along with Shep. Up until she regained consciousness I was real worried.

Yea, I didn't understand it being a renegade interrupt, he pulled the gun so shooting him was just common sense. 

Side note: I've only done renegade interrupts two times, shooting Udina and giving Kai Leng what he deserved

For me, having her take the shot was Ashley's first step into becoming a true Spectre. That she'd be willing to do whatever it takes to protect the council. Even before that, she was even willing to hold a gun on the man she loves before taking control of the situation.

Ashley was made a Spectre by Udina for his own personal gain. He wanted to use her. But what he didn't count on is that the woman he chose for Spectre candidacy, actually had the potential to be a good Spectre, and it ended up backfiring on him. When she shot Udina, that was the moment for me where Ashley fully matured as a soldier. She really is one of the best.

My reason for doing the renegade interupt and shooting Udina was the fact that he put the love of my life in danger. There was no way I would let him harm Ash.
