Yeah, I aside from Mars, the hospital, standoff, date and "culmination", I didn't really care for how they handled Ashley's romance. I had more conversations with Garrus and Vega than I did with Ash, which really sucks, since Ashley's my favorite character in ME, while I didn't care for Garrus till about midway through ME2 and Vega is...alright, I guess.
So much for "less squad members for more interaction", huh Cpt.Data?
Don't throw that line at my head, I created that one
Yeah, BW concentrated efforts on Liara, Vega (two guaranteed squadmates) and Garrus (who can die in ME2). The VS definitely gets the shortest end of the stick of the gang this time (again). ME2 characters get sidelined with exception of Mordin. It's a shame - lots of good opportunities wasted. For example, I wanted Miranda on board - for epic banter between Ash and her.
Nope. We don't have Miranda on board and we don't have epic banter with Ashley at all.
Hehe.
Well, with Liara, it's like BW was literally pushing her on you to romance her. I'm really not a big fan of her, I don't hate her, but I'm not really interested in her either. And she get's the better "romance" scene out of them all, which to me, is not fair at all.
Miranda, well, I was atleast satisfied with her role in ME3, but then again, I'm not really a big Miri fan either.
When it came to ME2 characters, I was more of Mordin and Zaeed guy. They just seemed the most interesting to me. And they did handle Mordin's role extremely well(My eyes actually watered when he died), though Zaeed's couldve been better.
Either way, they really shouldve treated it more like ME1 where it was more character driven than action. That's one of the peeves I had with ME2, and it was even worse in ME3.
The lack of character "interaction" we were promised and the horrible endings are what make, IMHO, ME3 the weakest of the series.
