Yeah. It sucks. It's actually why I've put Rox Shepard into Jon-Mal Shepard's world. Got mah bro-shep and Fem-shep working side by side with Ash. Rox treats both like siblings, and Jon spends most of his time making Ash 'feel good enough'. Heh.

Not to forget that nasty BSN user that always adds some extra to your headcanon :wizard:

Right now I'd like to go through the game with fem!Shep for Samantha Traynor. She's no Ash, but really cute ...
Think fem!Shep really got shafted with just two straight LI in ME3: Kaidan and Garrus. If you want to keep Ashley as "sister" for Shep, don't like to romance Garrus and RP your fem!Shep as straight, you have NO one in ME3 to romance.

Fail.

Is there more romance dialogue with Ash if you stayed faithful?

Rox liked Traynor, but she was a bit too nerdy for her tastes. The ones she really wanted is Vega, but he backs down bigtime when you call him out of the fliting... Ship-tease much?

Anyway, Back to Ash. Took her to Thessia. Wanna see her rip of Leng's head... or stab him in the neck with an omniblade... ya know, fun stuff.

Had Ash there too. Surprising how little feedback she gives. The Ashley I remember ALWAYS spoke her mind. I'm surprised she's pretty much silent in that one.

Actually, Ash feels only like Ash on Mars. Lots of talk, perfectly done. And beyond that, she's silent. Maybe that near-death experience changed her? I doubt so. Ash takes a hell of a beating without a single crack ... nearly died on Eden Prime and on Horizon. It wasn't that much of a difference on Mars.

Yeah, it's about the only time she does feel like Ashley. Other than that, she's mostly silent. I think she's picked up stoicism a little too well.

SPOILER!!!
Wow, just finished the game with a non-imported character. Have to say, what a ripoff for those who did this:

- No Legion
- No Thane
- No Jack
- No Wrex
- No Grunt
- No Samara
- No Kasumi, Zaeed, Major Kirrahee
- Eve dies no matter what
- Miranda dies no matter what
- Cant save the council = No Destinys Ascension in the last battle
- Cant have peace between quarians and geth
- Cant save rachni
- Have to fight hard just to get over 4000 EMS with 100% readyness

Yeah, it pretty much sucks. And you have a worse chance of convincing the VS that you're on their side during the confrontation. Granted if the endings we have are real, it might feel like a mercy.

Is there extra dialogue for staying loyal to Ashley?

Guess that's it.
You barely can get enough EMS to see an alive Shepard.
Actually, it doesn't make any sense to play ME3 without at least ME2!import (PS3). And even then it's still not perfect.

How hard is it to convince Ash with a fresh Shepard?

You need to be completely paragon and visit her when you can, along with giving her the tennyson books. Which I'm annoyed that she didn't reference at all afterwards.

@Data
Not very difficult she seems to get over it pretty quickly

@Aurora
Well is the faithful dialogue better?

Don't know, never cheated on her. But I've heard the dialogue is quite bitter.

I'm romancing Ashley on my now 3rd play through. Doesn't feel as good as Liara's which is sad

That's because BW favors Liara over everyone

Interesting. Even more so since newcomers don't know anything about Ash and her love for Tennyson. Why should they get the right set of books?

Man. ME3 is a really bad part of the trilogy if you want to get in touch with Ashley. She's simply not Ashley I loved from ME1 - except in the romance scenes.

I wish you could mod ME properly. There's a lot of scope for it IMO. At least we could create our own stuff.

But then again...that wouldn't sit well with EA.

Lets say I'm using up a large amount of processing power for my imagination to create a headcanon that makes Ashley to "Ashley". She's still that funloving, passionate and sexy woman here that's constantly teasing Shepard. In the nights they spend together, they love each other and have a briefe glimpse on a "perfect world". Shepard says something like that to Ash in ME1. When they share their time, both are happy - and the war is banished from their minds for those hours.

So you may get the idea that Shepard is -really- broken if he even can't enjoy the nights with Ash anymore as seen in ME3.

Fill the holes with what you've extrapolated from ME1's plot. I think Data is right, ME3 on its own makes for a very hollow character.

BW doesn't like the VS at all. I mean, during the worst-case-scenario stand off, Shepard could've just grazed her or aimed for an arm or leg. Instead, Shepard ends up shooting her in the stomach and killing her.

Would Shepard really kill her even if they are not in a romance? I don't think so. I don't think any of the squad members would either (especially not Garrus, who seems to do it the most). I could see maybe EDI or Javik doing it since they don't know her, but nobody else.

Headcanon wise, changed class or not, Shepard is a marksmen, more over hes an N7 marine. His accuracy rating should be very high, probably the best in the Alliance if he graduated at the top of his N7 class. He should have easily shot to disable Ashley, then shoot to kill Udina. But no, we have to kill the VS for the sake of adding to the wall of ghosts Shepard has to go to sleep with every night.

This.

Can you kill a comrade that's doing his or her duty? I never could.

I dunno if BW dislikes the VS. It makes sense if Mac Walters dislikes 'em since they're the "true competition" for Liara, his fave character. But he's just one man.
Think it's more that BW ran out of time and the VS suffers from it. Remember when they said they were adding the romance arcs in November last year? They couldn't have much more time than 2 months. And it shows.
