Okay weird question, obviously we would all save Ash vs Kaiden(spell check?)
Who would you have picked to die in his place out of everyone on the squad?

I say....ummmmm idk haters.. but probably Tali, never really warmed up to her until ME2

Kaiden.  I never liked the guy (i know lots of people do, and he's probably great), so I'd kill him 11 times out of 10.  Sorry, but Carth was a putz, and I could never get past them having the exact same voice.

I know Garrus is my best bro as well but I'm saying if they did hook up.
Who would you feel more betrayed by?
How would you react?

More betrayed by Ash, can't blame Garrus, ash is irresistable ;)

However, I would have to shoot Garrus in the knee caps and out the airlock while Ash watches(bangin my gunnery sgt is unacceptable)

I think the assumption is such a scenario only occurs when you romance neither. The Mass Effect lover interests are...more well behaved than the Dragon Age ones :P

Honestly, I'd be thrilled. Of course, if I'm not romancing one, I'm romancing the other...but it'd be hilarious to see my two favorites hook up.

You all might be aware that Garrus and Tali have a "fling" if you romance neither of them. I can't confirm this, but if you romance Tali, Garrus then sets his sights on Liara...which, no offense to Liara (she's not exactly my favorite, but...eh), but that doesn't seem like...a match I'd go for. They'd never shut up about Shepard!

I would just appreciate that other characters could show interest in Ashley. Seems like every other woman in this universe gets a glance or two, a compliment here and there. Seems shallow, I realize, but any positive reinforcement for Ashley's character would be welcome.

Hmm, maybe...if say, Shepard leaves Ash for Tali, it could go something like this:

Ashley: So how long has this been going on?
Garrus: Since her [exile/pardon], I think. Seems she's had an eye for him for a while.
Ashley: *sighs* I feel like such an idiot.
Garrus: Sorry, Ash. It didn't sound like you two were on very good terms after Horizon.
Ashley: No, I guess not. I said it myself, we're not the same people we were fighting Saren and Geth. Feels like forever since then.
Garrus: The good old days?
Ashley: Yeah...don't get me wrong, I'm still pissed at both of them, would have liked to have been told straight up. But I can accept it. I just need some time.
Garrus: Hmm. Maybe when you cool off and this whole...ravaging of every civilization is put down, we could catch a vid or something?
Ashley: ...Heh, I don't know, Vakarian, I usually go for men with a little more meat on their bones.
Garrus: I fill out this armor better than you might think. Give it some thought.
Ashley: Heh, all right, I'll consider it...Scuttlebutt.

I love this game, but it was seriously lacking in Skippers and Scuttlebutts. Seriously.

congratz but keep it off the battlefield? Or something to that effect.

Or in my Shepard's case. 'Another one... really? Go ahead, but if you end up sticking needles in your arm again, I'm not helping you this time...' (shorted/nutshelled, but something very much to that effect)

Ahh yes.. Reapers, are you sure that you all aren't having a vision, a dream? I don't think that your observations cann be taken into account

there is no flirting at all in ME3, no sarcastic jokes, no dry humor, and basically little character out of Ash in ME3

@Rdubs Unless you did stay loyal, then I have no idea :)

Hmm, that's what bugs me, I stayed loyal like an arrow.  I have no doubt I paragon'ed everything related to her to have the best romance possible.   Would really love to know why the two scenes are different.

I'll check out the vid and look into it, I'm curious too now lol :P

By the way apparently if you start a new romance with Ash in ME3 he says "I'm sane enough to know when I've found a good thing." So it looks like there are at least 3 lines Shepard says after you select the "I love you" response in the cabin:
1) on Eden Prime I met a woman never gave up / single handedly fighting off an invasion
2) When I met you on Eden prime I didn't know my life would change / found something looking for whole life
3) I'm sane enough to know when I've found a good thing

#3 is if you start a new romance in ME3. No idea about what drives the difference between the first two but it's really bugging me.

I'm thinking maybe #2 could be flirting in ME1 and almost starting the relationship but not quite and then starting the relationship in ME3 because Shep says he didn't want to admit it, but I could be wrong. :)

There's actually all of that. I've only played the game once so I can't give you exact quotes, but It seems each of those are there. You do have to bring her with you on missions to get the bulk of it. Like all the squad mates they talk and chatter constantly during missions. She's very much her old self.

She flirts "we in for a rough ride skipper", she's sarcastic and at time pessemistic, her impression of her dad was well done and all that. I don't want or need her going around cracking jokes all the time as the universe is coming to an end.

You sure it's not switched around? I've been faithful to Ash in my playthroughs and #1 was the dialogue Shepard said.

I was with Miranda in ME2 and my Shepard said #1 to Ashley when we got back together.
If you bought the Fornax in ME2, you have a romance scene with it and Shep will say #1 as well

Then I guess faithfulness doesn't apply in this situation then.

Edit: Wait, what is this about Fornax?

Is true that if you had no romances throughout all 3 games. When u have the flashback you see no one after Chris Griffin and Anderson?

Assuming Chris Griffin is Joker, no, it's still Liara.

I thought Fornax was just a fun easter egg, like the two ME novels you can buy on the Citadel.

Does being "faithful" mean not even starting a romance with the ME2 LIs?
