Post Reaper Conflict

Six months, Ashley mused. The thought suddenly occured to her, it had been sice months since the Reapers toppled literally to Earth. Her eyes scanned over the report, but her mind was too numb to absorb any of the numbers and figures presented. She tossed the pad onto the chair next to her and stared out the window of the Huerta Memorial hospital's waiting room. Ashley had been here only a year before, and her time was no pleasant to say the least. Being concussed had that effect, but she took solace in the fact that it wasn't her they doctors needed to operate on, bitter as that made her feel.

"Hey." A rough voice broke her from her thought bubble, snatching her attention away from the idealic view. "Wasn't expecting to see you today."

"I had some free time. Thought you could use the company." Ashley said, a smile gracing her lips. Her eyes dragged to his left leg. "How are you feeling, Skip?"

Shepard barked out a laugh, sitting himself down and massaging his leg. "Been better. But, according to the Docs, I'll be back out and pissing off the brass in no time." Shepard said absently, smirking. "Apparently, not having the weight of the entire galaxy on your shoulders does wonders for your health."

"I've noticed. You actally look like you've eaten a decent meal for once." Ashley commented playfully, noting a healthy bulk in his face. "You don't look so sunken anymore. And the bags under your eyes are gone too."

"I've been sleeping a hell of a lot better. There are a few odd nightmares, but mainly its dreamless." Shepard explained, a serious expression over his slightly bearded face. "Part of me is wondering if the nightmares were part of Harbinger's Indoctrination all along. Or he could have just been a guilty conscience..."

"It doesn't matter now. The Reapers are gone." Ashley reassured him, a comforting hand wrapped around his.

"Yeah. They are." Shepard nodded in certainity. His eyes lit up for a second, eager to change the subject. "Enough of that. Tell me what's been happening for you?"

Ashley chuckled softly. "Where to start?" She began.

#1 me1 romanced Ash but in ME2 new romance
#2 is faithful to Ash

That can't be because I was faithful to her in #2, made sure to avoid any possible romance flags in ME2 and made sure to get the scene where Shep stares at her picture before the collector base.  I think it has to do with if you flirted but didn't complete the romance in ME, or #2 is where you cheated then made up.

Anyone got a link to the second dialogue? I was faithful and I got the first. I find it hard to believe that I got #1 because of a fornax lol.

I've my doubts #2 exists at all.

Haven't been able to find a romance including that, and I've been up and down YouTube.

I know I've heard something along those lines though.

Not at my computer but look for the 24 minute long Ashley romance vid on YouTube.

The fornax thing seems like a stretch or troll, most people who were loyal are getting #1.

Here it is.  Skip to 20:45.  All the prior scenes in the vid are of a Shep loyal to her in ME2, but what he says after the "I love you" is different (even though her reaction is the same).

Man, so many talented writers in here. Great job! I loved it.

Note: Cheesy, Corny, Sappy, etc is ALWAYS good. haha

We need to make up for lack of Ashley goodness in ME2 and ME3, so ... figures

===============

Shepard: Hey Ash ... what's up?
Ashley: Not much, Skip, why do you ask?
Shepard: 'cause you don't talk much about you anymore. You're just here, in the observatory deck, gazing at the stars ... and you seem to think a lot lately.
Ashley: Is it that obvious?
Shepard: I wouldn't ask if not. You seem distracted ... and barely remind me of the Ash I knew back in the good ol' days.
Ashley: Guess your girl grew up ...
Shepard: She went silent. And that's saddening me.
Ashley: There's so much I have to think about. I thought about the times when everything was easy. Point me in the right direction and I go. Shoot the baddies. Have a stroll at the beach on a forsaken world. Losing a friend ... but winning a war.
Shepard: Kaidan? Yeah, I miss him too.
Ashley: It's not just that. His sacrifice didn't change anything in the end. We're here, facing the very same enemy he tried to stop by ... staying back.
Shepard: He didn't die for nothing ...
Ashley: Kaidan died for us. I'm here because he sacrificed himself ...
Shepard: I decided-
Ashley: You know it's not true. He knew about us. And wanted us to be happy.
Shepard: Ash ... and that's what makes you pondering?
Ashley: On Mars, I almost died. You saved me - again. Skipper ... I don't wanna die ... neither today nor tomorrow, in the final battle. Skipper - if you want make Kaidan's death meaningful ... make sure there's a future for us. For all of us, not just for you and me. Get us through hell, like back in the better days.
Shepard: I can't promise a happy end-
Ashley: No, you can't. But you can do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Shepard: Ashley - I love you.
Ashley: I love you, John.
Shepard: Any ideas what you're going to do after the war?
Ashley: Yeah ... I'm going to resign. I've seen enough death and war ... And you?
Shepard: Same here. And I wanna stay with you.
Ashley: Buy a house, found a family, all that stuff? Hmm ... I like it, Skipper.
Shepard: You go into that far too easily *smiles*
Ashley: You still have to win that war, Skip *smirks*
Shepard: Yeah ... thanks for reminding me. And destroying a romantic moment *laughs*
Ashley: Sorry ...
Shepard: Mind if I stay a while? Gazing the stars with you?
Ashley: Only if you quit talking.
Shepard: Aye-aye, Commander ...

Reed, Hellfire, TNS, thanks - I think Aurora is the better writer of us two ;)
And she does a hell of a job to keep us entertained.

Do Liara fans have a similar amount of dialogues & banter in their thread? If not, then it's a sign they're happy with what they got. We Ashley lovers simply didn't get enough content. That's why we need to write tons of dialogues ...

BTW: Aurora, I love it. That one was a fine piece of art - are you going to use it in your current project? :)

Right, I remember. It started as friendly dialogue competition, right? :P

Have something I gave AMW yesterday in a private message - it's part of my preparations for "ME: Rebirth" ...

It's a little scene I have in my mind, Ash stands next to a comatose Shepard
"Hey Skipper. The doctor says you can't hear me, but I don't care. You hear me, wherever you are. You made it. Kicked the Reapers back to the void and beyond. No one knows what you did - and how you did it, especially since no one saw you entering the beam. But the soldiers believe you did it. And so do I.
Skip, there's so much in my head now. We won that damn war - I don't know when I thought about a future last time. Seems to be another life. But now I can, and ... and I can see it again. I can see you and me, somewhere else, where it's nice. You smile, I smile ... and everything seems so perfect. I know you won't ever lay down your gun. Duty calls always, and there's a galaxy to rebuild. But I know, Skipper, you won't do it alone, not without me. Wherever you go, I will follow. That's a promise ..."

Also have this one:

"The galaxy is save? It's chaos, Ash. I thought bringing all species together would finally make peace. But that's just not true. The Krogans are out there and want Salarian blood. Turians are on their side here. The Council is no more and Hackett just told me we're pretty much alone. It's a goddamn mess." - Shepard

"It's a shame they're fighting again, Skipper. You bought them another day to live and all they do is to waste that day to fight ancient wars. What next? Shall we take our guns and point them at the Turians again, protection Salarian colonies?
I wish they wouldn't act like stupid teenagers. You saved them, saved them all. Thessia still exists because of you. Palaven is habitable, because of you. Same for the Krogans. I'm surprised the Quarians and the Geth give most to rebuild galactic society, while the the rest is looking for the next war.
They do owe you something, Skipper. They owe you peace."
- Ashley.

Aurora did you see that clip where Shep says something different than what most people are getting after selecting "I love you"? Any ideas what might be driving that? Maybe it's something related to the Genesis thing, if you select romanced Ash in ME using Genesis you miss out on some trigger which prevents you from getting the "lost company, facing invasion alone" line and instead you get the "found what I was looking for" line.

EDIT: Here it is again for ease of reference
