Such a pity that we don't get enough missions to get distracted that way. It would have been interesting if she coulda gone to the turian bomb mission and the grissom academy rescue. The bomb mission remind me of Virmire and I'd love to see how she and Jack exchange mutual hatred of Cerberus

I think I migh be one of few but After the outfit uproar I wasn't so keen on checking Ashley out, but mroe over seeing how she killed things. When I got her with the black widow Sniper rifle she started taking my kills again and I just loved it.

She had hips and a waist in the hospital scenes?!

Too bad they never implemented Ash romance of Femshep. I am sorry to say that but Manshep delivers threats much better than he is at confessing love. The final 'I love you' was a bit underwhelming to say the least.

True. Mark Meer has a tendency to say it so "stoic". Does it sound differently for Liara?
Think Shepard's "I love you" to Ash is pretty much an understatement. Same from Ash to Shepard.

It should be more a "I love you, and I need you. You're part of my life and I'm yours. I can not think of a life without you anymore."
Shepard says something like that with different words - if loyal.

Yea tha'ts what I mean, ManShep's line doesn't sound very convincing. I don't know about Liara tho, I never gotten that far with her romance with a male. I just thought Femshep's line and delievery with Garrus was really moving. That's why I am curious how that scence would play out with Ash/FemShep, just to watch it for performance's sake.

Yup, I fully agree with you here. He doesn't do the whole "full of emotion" thing too well. Mind you, I doubt many can. Voice acting must be difficult. 

I can forgive it in this instance though since Shepard probably has a lot on his mind during that scene.

Heck with it, if I could, I would rewrite the entire romance for Ashley. Just ONE writer for each character. I think I'll pick Ash - and give her a really nice, sexy and tempting story arc. One with a true rollercoaster of emotions, huh *g*


And I accept the excuse "Shepard's mind was full of other stuff". However, the Shepard romancing Ash is a man. And a man is -always- focused on the moment, even if something else is going on. It must be a real burden to distract a man from the romantic moment with the love of his life ...

Just went through this a second time and counted the lines I never saw in the game (minus those I suspect being renegade answers):

Nearly a third of Ashley's dialogue got cut or reduced by several lines. Neither is Ash about "moving to my or your cabin" nor about her hair. I think there was at least one additional dialogue between leaving the Huerta's and joining the crew and the memorial scene. Also there's another scene I can't remember happening between "Ashley's drunk" and "romantic climax".

So either those scenes got cut or they're bugged.
I hope they're bugged - in that case, a patch could fix'em.

Does anyone has enough time to do the datamining stuff and check out if those lines are still in game?

So one of the lines in the link has Ash talking about Jack, does mean you can take her to Grissom? I always thought by the time you get Ash back the mission is already expired? Am I wrong?

Yeah, Ash doesn't seem like the character to do that. 

@Data - As for the lines, some of them i can understand them cutting out -- like the afterlife part(thats a touch topic). As for the other stuff, I would have loved to see that, they probably just didn't have enough time to voice act all of it, simply reading it took me a good 20+ minutes.

Technically, the "afterlife part" is still in the game - in the final mission before returning to Earth.

Now, what if the stuff got recorded but never made it into the game? Same for Andersons long dialogue in the end of the game - he even talks with Shepard about children. It never made it into the game.

So either it's an alternate dialogue for an alternate ending (one that never made it into the game) or it got cut 'cause lack of time.

hay just so you know, ashley can come to the turian bomb mission. and she does mention virmire on the shuttle right before.
