It was. To be honest, this is how I imagined this scene, after all they both went through. Dialog was mature in emotional terms and fits rather difficult romance (I still remember Ashley's behaviour on Horizon - forgiven, but not forgotten )

There is something amusingly dualistic in Bioware's writing - romance dialogs between mature characters are equally mature and proper. Following bedroom scenes are so inmature on the other hand.

I wonder why they changed their ways after ME 1.

B/c Fox news had a huge fit about nekkid stuff in the game and they got tons of bad publicity for it. Cue clothed grinding in ME2. lol

I feel bioware did a great job with ash. They wanted to make a military woman and found the balance in me3. Me1 I was annoyed at being called skip..but now I have forgiven her.

im pretty sure that the last few days i saw/read someone datamined the ashley dialouge and there was a bunch of stuff cut out or left out of the game....and if im completely mistaken then i apologize but thats what im positive i read

im pretty sure that the last few days i saw/read someone datamined the ashley dialouge and there was a bunch of stuff cut out or left out of the game....and if im completely mistaken then i apologize but thats what im positive i read

That would explain the massive fail that was the second half of the game with Ashley and her emotionally engaging one liners.

... crappy endings. Shepard is going to die with an EMS lower than 4000 and Anderson needs to survive the encounter with TIM on board of the Citadel. Then Shepard has to change from three bad decisions:
A (f*ck up the galaxy and take control over the Reapers - blue explosion)
B (f*ck up the galaxy by picking the Synthesis Ending - green explosion)
C (f*ck up the galaxy and destroy the Reapers, Geth and EDI - red explosion)
Shepard may live in the last one.
Of course, since the Normandy flees and crashes on a random world, with all Mass Relays gone, there's no way Shepard will see his LI (in our case Ashley) again. So why should he live?

Ashley: Done?
Shepard: Yeah ...
Ashley: And?
Shepard: Not sure if I want to save the galaxy anymore. And you?
Ashley: Same here.
Shepard: Guess I'll tell Hackett. You tell Joker and the rest of the crew.
Ashley: What shall I tell them?
Shepard: Easy. "Regardless of what we do, the galaxy will end in a f*cked up state without Mass Relays. Let's look for a nice lonely planet to land and keep our asses out of history. We're going to end there anyways ..."
Ashley: Okay. And what will you tell Hackett?
Shepard: "I'm out of that job. Look for another one. I'm not willing to sacrifice EDI, Geth and myself for a new Dark Age."
Ashley: Sounds like a plan, Skipper.
Shepard: Make it happen.

Hackett: I can see why you're thinking that way, Commander. Didn't know we have no choice here. It's good to know that.
Shepard: And what are we going to do now?
Hackett: We'll find a way to prevent that going to happen. It's our only chance. How can we save the galaxy by destroying it? That doesn't make sense.
Shepard: Indeed. I'll continue gathering any fleet and ally I can get. In worst case, we need to fight down the Reapers the old fashioned way ...
Hackett: Yes. Keep me reported - Hackett out.

Ashley: I see. So what now, Skipper?
Shepard: Our old plan is the new plan. We just need to find a way around those endings.
Ashley: Let me go instead of you ...
Shepard: No way. I don't mind my own life as long as I can save the galaxy and you. If you go, why should I live?
Ashley: You'll find another love-
Shepard: I -don't- want another love. I want you, Ash. Always. I couldn't live without you anymore ...

Yes and no, I did post what I found back somewhere...here! The lines themselves are not there, but I think the hair lines remaining proves that that script is real and it was planned to follow it.

I couldn't find any combat chatter for her on Grissom, but she has reactions.
