Okay. Reed all the posts (spelling on purpose) ^^

Ashley: Hey Skip. Did you see this?
Shepard: No? Lemme see ...
... crappy endings. Shepard is going to die with an EMS lower than 4000 and Anderson needs to survive the encounter with TIM on board of the Citadel. Then Shepard has to change from three bad decisions:
A (f*ck up the galaxy and take control over the Reapers - blue explosion)
B (f*ck up the galaxy by picking the Synthesis Ending - green explosion)
C (f*ck up the galaxy and destroy the Reapers, Geth and EDI - red explosion)
Shepard may live in the last one.
Of course, since the Normandy flees and crashes on a random world, with all Mass Relays gone, there's no way Shepard will see his LI (in our case Ashley) again. So why should he live?

Ashley: Done?
Shepard: Yeah ...
Ashley: And?
Shepard: Not sure if I want to save the galaxy anymore. And you?
Ashley: Same here.
Shepard: Guess I'll tell Hackett. You tell Joker and the rest of the crew.
Ashley: What shall I tell them?
Shepard: Easy. "Regardless of what we do, the galaxy will end in a f*cked up state without Mass Relays. Let's look for a nice lonely planet to land and keep our asses out of history. We're going to end there anyways ..."
Ashley: Okay. And what will you tell Hackett?
Shepard: "I'm out of that job. Look for another one. I'm not willing to sacrifice EDI, Geth and myself for a new Dark Age."
Ashley: Sounds like a plan, Skipper.
Shepard: Make it happen.

She seems to be the only one to follow a religion as well. She's the only one to ever bring religion up at all I think too.

I think it could have been expanded on a bit more, but then again, that would have only made more people think she's a "boring" character.

There's a lot to her character that could have been expanded on, and I thought being the only character to talk about religion made her more interesting.

I thought the same as well, but I know others wouldn't as that would lead to a "boring character". Speaking of which, when people say they renegaded Ash throughout ME1, I wonder if they picked the renegade option of saying they didn't believe in order to disinterest her. I know it's a game. but it seems pretty low, especially if that person is playing their canon Shep and they themselves do believe.

Yep, but still there is a chance for DLC with VS. I'm pretty sure that this one we will see in future. I won't be suprised if R.Sbarge and K.Brooks will give the idea of that.
But probably you've already discussed this topic about million times, so there's no need to go and spread it around.

According to the nudity, as far as I remember the main thing critics were against in first ME was showing Liara naked in "Lesbian" (!) and alien (!!!!) sex scene. And now in ME3 - the only, let's call it "brave" scene, comes with Liara. You humans are all racists. Anyway - I'm not jealous at all, hell, I'm not even disappointed, I've never liked Liara and Ash final scene is IMO very good.

Religion is a common thing in ME. Enkindlers, Drellish gods, Liara's Goddess. It's quite strange that some people accept those created strictly for the ME universe, but if they only hear about well, one of our "Gods", there goes a flamewar. But I haven't seen such complaining for a long time now, what is surprising, like you said ;).

Actually, I wish I would have a direct connection to both. Or know at least someone who has to patch my message true. ONE message is: don't give up - you still have fans. Another message would be a request if they want to do a DLC for more VS content ... B)

You must say, however, it would feel odd to show a full naked Ash in her romance scene: you have a full shoot on her rear - without the panties you might see Ash's special place :innocent:
It's okay for Ash to wear something in the "foreplay" (we don't see the actual sex scene, just a tiny portion of the foreplay).

It irks me Ash still wears her underwear after the dream scene - Ash is a naked sleeper and underwear tends to be uncomfortable to wear asleep.

I'm an atheist and don't feel offended by Ashley's religion. It's not a defining trait of her - it's just one of many. And she doesn't feel like a religious zealot - she's more like a light, liberal Christian or Jew (doubt she's a Muslim).

A lot don't like the poetry, but I liked it because it challenged the stereotypical cannon fodder grunt with an IQ of 0 image.
They threw that out the window with another character though!

Interestingly enough, the same guys criticising Ashley for doing the poetry stuff are also complaining about Vega "being the dumb grunt". Seriously, what's wrong with those guys? Ash is not "b*tchy" and Vega isn't dumb.

I tried to do a play through romancing liara, with Kaiden alive, can't finish it. Ash seems much less forced and more natural of a romance, probably also due to the fact that Ash's character strongly reflects my wife's personality. However, the conversation with Kaiden where Shepard says "You are my brother Kaiden.", put a different spin on how I see the Liara/Shepard relationship outside of a romance. They love each other but it is along the lines of brother and sister.

Personally, I do not have a religion and I respect anyone and everyones views regardless, so it was a no problem to me. If she wanted to persuade Shepard then she was free to do so. Keeping an open mind has its benefits! :)

I liked that someone in the game talked about their religious beliefs, it added even more variety to the characters.

I don't remember exactly, but I think she mentioned religion only once
explictely, all the other time her religious references are subtle. A lot people just don't like her, period. People who made hate threads about her probably didn't
progress far enough in the dialogue to hate on that particular point.

Simple really. Those who didn't interact with them well enough only got half of the story. I think Vega's character is built a lot like Miranda's.

Vega and Miranda both have what I would class as a stereotypical appearance. Vega is the hulk who can bench press twice his own body weight, and Miranda is the woman who flaunts everything she has and/or the ice queen.

Consider the implications of those two for a moment. Vega has the dumb squaddie and Miranda has the manipulative **** or the ****, depending on how you see her.

If you explore those characters more, you'll find the complete opposite of what you expected simply from appearances.

Vega has bucket loads of potential, but he is letting his insecurities get the better of him. He's guilty about his squad and it is preventing him achieving his ambition/destiny in the N7 program. Shepard has the power to help him overcome his problems.

Miranda's appearance and initial persona is just a facade for her own problems. She's a tortured individual and doesn't quite know what she is. Like Vega, her past is pulling her down, but in this case it is stopped her expressing her true nature. Shepard, again, has the power to help her overcome this. When you do her loyalty mission, she becomes much more of a real person after Shepard has helped her take the burden of her past and her sister away from her. Add in the stuff from the Shadow Broker's files and you can see that she really is a sorry state.

Quite different from those initial impressions, right?

I know I certainly fell for the initial impressions. I disliked Miranda instantly from her attitude. Exploring her character changed the way I view her entirely. I actually felt sympathy for her. Vega is the same. I saw him as the dumb squaddie, but when you speak to him, you realise his true nature. The friendly boxing really emphasised this for me.
This is simply my interpretation though, so don't jump down my throat for it, please!

I'll throw this in here as well...:bandit:

I agree with Hellfire as well, thats one of the things I always liked about ME - deep characters that are so much more than what they appear to be. Notable exception - Diana Allers :-P

Oh my...

She was almost as useless as the scanner between the CIC and the war room. Even that's pushing it. At least the scanner went bleep.

Javik is the one man solution to any problem on the Normandy.

"Javik, there's a problem with the airlock"
"If I was you, I would throw it out the airlock"
"Uh...what?"

You know, I think him and Zaeed would get along very well.

Tell me about it.

I was testing a script I'd made for ARMA2 yesterday and because I forgot this line at the top of the script..

if (!isServer) exitWith {};

I ended up with around 380 enemy AI instead 50-60 odd I had planned. That's 7 times more than I wanted (once for each player testing and once for the server). I'm surprised I didn't crash the damn thing. Doh!

Javik is a very sensible person. I admire his outlook on problems.
