Tali wears 2-3 layers of clothing at a minimum. A thin, skintight inner layer to reduce chafing and other effects of prolonged confinement, and 1-2 outer layers, consisting of the environsuit itself, covered by the armored layer which may or may not be attatched. I'm in the 3 layer camp.

This is consistent with my views.

Anyone who has ever tried to wear a wetsuit (or any other skintight outfit) for an extended period of time will know that chafing becomes a problem. Now try wearing one without underwear (e.g. swimming trunks) so the chafing applies to your genitals.

Excepting the common excuses of "mass effect fields" or "space magic" (which are both functionally no different from "a wizard did it"), or the posibility of the quarians having skin that is nothing like human skin (the official Tali picture seems to suggest that isn't the case), wearing nothing but an environmental suit simply wouldn't be comfortable.

I don't know about you, but I used to wear my wetsuit for up to 12+ hours while kayaking/swimming out to small rocky islands off the coast of Okinawa, then climbing up the coral/rocks and running around said islands. One of the most comfortable things I've ever worn (besides the additional heat), like a second skin. Depends on the material, I suppose. Besides, we're talking about sci-fi grade materials here in the case of the Quarians. They probably have better methods of getting the fishy smell out.

A wetsuit would be like the thin underlayer. Tight and form fitting. The downside is that wetsuits are too thick to remain comfortable for extender periods of time. Try sleeping in a wetsuit. Multilayered is the only sane way to go, like socks when hiking. Layers are the best things ever.

I also do not understand why a conversation about clothing is "wierd territory", especially when conducted in a mature and reasonable matter. Its not "everybody LOOK! tali's ass looks fantastic in underwear!"(though admittedly it is quite a fine sight in any article of clothing). We are simply thinking way too hard about something and building our headcanons with additional information to clairify it. Like the layers of a quarian envirosuit.

Maybe her suit self lubricates....

*ahem*

Anyway, I wonder what happens to her hair in the suit.

Sure. Gimme time to catch up, I sift through endless muds of non-tali-related stuff in the last 20 pages here.

Anyway, if we get a post-ending content, don't complain if the architecture of the house ain't to your liking. It's probably gonna be a simple housing like on the colonies at first, since people have to get a shelter first and time to adapt to the surrounding. Plus, Geth are practical workers. We want Tali on Rannoch, we don't have to fall out over the house, right?

As long as they do a better job on it then the smoke in the hill run to the Citadel beam (it's actually 2 dimensional. How lazy was that!)

That was tagged on, anyway. The whole ending. The more I think about it, it seems like not even ten percent of the work force they had went into this. As if it was made in a rush. Main reason: No Tali in flashback.

Lazy indeed. Not to mention Hudson litteraly said that a final boss would be "too video gamey." News flash! This IS a video game!

I was just talking about that in another thread. It wouldn't be so bad if it was always the same people in the flashbacks, but the fact that some people got Kaiden or Ashley if they romanced them simply means the dev's did three and then couldn't be bothered with the rest and that is just so incredibly lame I couldn't express my feelings on the subject without getting banned from the internet.

Hopefully it was due to EA pressure and not Devs lack of interest, because that's more likely to be patched or included with this DLC. Though I have to say I am hoping for a lot more then just a Tali flashback.

I have worn wetsuits for that length of time, and they are comfortable... but only when wet. When they dry out, that's when chafing becomes a problem.

It's not inconceivable that there's some super-comfortable material that would prevent chafing (a suit made of teflon? Posted Image), but we can't really prove it either way.

I was wondering why the engineers weren't talking. Why the two love birds never hook up, not even in the face of extinction.

It's a BUG?!? Are you ****ING KIDDING ME?!? They even talked to TALI! And WITH Tali! And just because I killed somebody in a tactically sensible way I got to miss it ALL? And the bad ending preventing me to ever restart? Even a bug fix...what would it bring me now? I'd have to replay it seeing a horrid ending coming!

Apparently they believe it's a painting, they keep referring to it as art.

They keep saying they need to maintain its "artistic integrity." Funny how the ending had no artistic integrity. It has 3 colors and is extremely lazy... In other words, the average finger painting of a 5 year old. Leaving out Tali? Glitch my Turian ***.

Well if they are refering to the ending as art.... perhaps they were thinking about this?

You know, for all the talk of a house on Rannoch, I don't really see my version of Shepard actually retiring and living in one place for a long period of time. He's like Mordin but with heroics; give him a nice, peaceful life and he'd go crazy within a few days. And Tali always struck me as wanting a house on Rannoch mostly beacuse her father and quarian society in general tell her she should. She says herself that she doesn't have the first clue as to how to go about recolonizing a planet.

Really, I think the Normandy makes a better home for them than any planet. In my mind the happiest possible ending for those two is flying out into the galaxy with the rest of the crew, looking for their next adventure.

Probably better than this.

Back when he had a gallery showing where I was working, me and my boss decided it did not deserve any reporting, not even a negative one.

The ending's better than that, at least. And it's a necessity to report. It lacks Tali. That should be a federal crime, even in Canada.

They can build the house and not live on it you know.

Who doesn't watch beach front vacation home? Gotta take breaks occasionally!

You have a point. My Sheps a spacer, so like Tali he grew up on space ships. Neither of them would really know what to do with themselves on a planet, especially one that would be so focused on the basics such as agriculture and building houses. Perhaps it was destined to be one of those thing they always talk about together and like the idea of, but never really plan to do it in reality. It's a bit like the way Tali talks about staying on Rannoch the whole time she's with the other Quarians in the war room and tied by her sense of duty, but the truth was all she really wanted was to be at Shepards side and share in his future. I think ultimately being together is all that really matters to the two of them.

Still maybe having a home on Rannoch doesn't have to mean staying there all the time. It could be more like a holiday home. After all, there will be a need to acquire things outside of Rannoch and retiring from saving the galaxy doesn't mean you can't have the odd adventure.

Yeah, sure, they'll be very active still. Well, Shepard might let it go a bit slower, since he's really exhausted after all that, but Tali would be up and around, and I can see Shepard do some coordination every day.

In other news, I caught up and have to go. You got to be kidding me...

But biting Geth troopers is the best part of the game. What fun are you?

Sadly, I still have classes to go. Hope you find a team.

*Shuffles out of lounge chair, noticing the ending talk*

...I'll have a glass of Drell liquor if the bar's open.

Also, anyone hear anything from the Doc? Haven't seen him post anything in a while.
