*get revenge by uploading an autocalibrator to the main battery, find garrus spending a lot more time at the bar now that he has no real job anymore.

The whole split tongue thing weirds me out a lot. Tali is not a snake, or a lizard, or anything like that. Now I wouldn't be surprised if Thane had a forked tongue, but that's besides the point.

@TrueMadayar Why you no like gamer_girl? :( Sad panda. And I wasn't the one who actually derailed the topic. They were talking about Samara taking a dump before I came back from playing multiplayer.

I cannot like you, you haven't been on your pilgrimage yet, you're not legal - Mass Effect theorism here. Also, I believe you being online before triggered them. I enjoyed the topics you brought up after I was gone, and blame you for missing them - thus I brought back Jonah. Girlfriend issues would derail the thread again, though, so I will let them rest or PM.

I'll have you know I'm *in the process* of completing my pilgrimage... Haven't found a good enough gift to bring Shepard to convince him to let me on the Normandy yet. I would have gotten him Fornax as a gag gift, but I think I need to find something more serious.

so is the tali thread sad you don't get/hear from tali until the last 1/3 of the game?

In other news, looks like Abrasive Tali is back. Will be interested to see the responses to ME3 questions.

Who's that?

After I realized Tali was most likely part of the main storyline, I rushed through it to get her.
After she was part of my team, I then went back a did a majority of the side missions. I would be very sad if I did all the side mission first, glad I got her early.

I'm sure a lot of the people here are, but I didn't really mind. I had bigger fish to fry - curing the genophage, saving Palaven, and of course I had to fry an actual fish - except substitute fish for chicken, and substitute fried for roasted... *drool*

I did wish Tali had shown up earlier. I found myself saying "This is really awesome so far, but where the hell is Tali?"

I think I'm more upset that my Shepard dedicated his last living thought to Liara instead of Tali. :pinched:

From the beginning, I've wanted to at least know what happened to Tali since I've been gone.  Eventually, I was too immersed in my own galatic problems to think about her, but when I realized I would be helping the quarian people next, my heart jumped.  I think they definately could have introduced Tali much earlier in the game than where she is now.  But whatever.

@gamer_girl It never even occurred to me she might have a non-normal tongue. Strikes me kind of weird people would speculate on that. I also did not mind getting her later because it made the reunion more powerful and considering how things just picked up again where they left off kind of showed the strength of the relationship.

Best to just ignore the last 15 minutes of the game anyways.

This really ticked me off.  Last thing my Shep would think about would not be Liara, it would be of Tali and how I didn't get more time and being sorry that I could not give her that as well.

Yeah I don't get the whole split tongue thing either... Probably largely to do with rule 34. But I digress. I agree with what you said regarding the relationship. The longer you're away from them, the greater the reunion. :wizard:

Oh yeah, absence makes the heart grow fonder.  One thing they did get right more than the other romances from what I have seen except for maybe Garrus is how the reunion plays out.  "I want to keep going, do you?  Yes.  OK!"  was the gist.  Plus she didn't come up to see the fish lol.

This thread has proved the power of rule 34 lol.  It has me afraid to google Samara now.

Weekes himself said quarians smell like cinnamon and honey.

This got brought up a few pages back, and I dug up the quote. He said Tali, though that could be extrapolated to quarians in general; given their biology and very similar diets, it'd make sense. But I like to think that specifically Tali smells that great. :P

I thought it was kinda weak that Shepard was like, "Tali, nothing between us has changed, unless you want it to." for some reason, but after that, it got pretty good.  And after Shepard was begging for her to stay with him (Unlike Tali), she paused, and then said, "Ok." in a unique way, fallowed by a game of handsies.

You know, now that I keep thinking about it, I HAVE to bring this up:

Is it just me, or does Tali have a 'wierd' way of feeling objects with her hands?  It seems almost like a quarian thing...for Tali, it seems as if to feel something, she must move her fingers in a certain way and repeating the pattern for 1-2 rounds.  Perhaps that is how quarians sense touch with their suits?

I suspect it was a way of giving her an out in case she changed her mind.  In those kinds of situations all sorts of doubts can creep up and one might want to not come on too strong.  I didn't take it as begging but more as  trying to be very clear where things stood from Sheps perspective.

The parallell between the Normandy and the Rannoch conversation was striking.  "Why aren't you asking me to stay."  vs "No, because I asked you to come up here."  You could read that as the Normandy he was asking her to continue, and in the latter she wanted to but needed to hear he wanted her still (again some of those doubts maybe)  and maybe a little bit of permission seeking to leave the fleet?  It was in a sense her choosing to be with Shepard over staying with the Fleet to rebuild at that point.  Which for her must have been a huge decision because her initial was to stay with the fleet regardless of what she personally wanted.  I thought it showed a lot of growth in that she finally decided she deserved some chance at happiness in light of things.
