so is the tali thread sad you don't get/hear from tali until the last 1/3 of the game?

In all honesty, no. I was just enjoying the story, even though it wasnt exactly difficult to know almost exactly how things would turn out. I knew the Quarian/Geth issue would need to be resolved. When the mission finally came up, I just had the sensation of "its go time".

But biting Geth troopers is the best part of the game. What fun are you?

Heavy melee bite?  Scary...though I think id rather bite a geth trooper than to bite Tali, that wouldn't be too nice...plus I don't want to puncture her lovely suit and possibly give her a nasty infection.  Oral contact can be deadly...

Nothing wrong with a bit of nibbling. My headcanon picture of a quarian also has enlongated incisors. Too bad tali hasn't used hers for eating much steak.

Interesting, my head cannon Tali has a VERY long tongue, she does amazing things when she kisses shepard...

Are you a member of the split tongue crowd? and if so, who started that idea? Is it like the cinnamon smell, where a dev said "snake tongue" in the same sentence as quarian, and everyone made a subconcious connection?

Not a forked tougue, just a long one that is thinner.

I did wish Tali had shown up earlier. I found myself saying "This is really awesome so far, but where the hell is Tali?"

I think I'm more upset that my Shepard dedicated his last living thought to Liara instead of Tali. :pinched:

Best to just ignore the last 15 minutes of the game anyways.

The last 15 minutes didn't happened! Nope, no, never happened! Just like the final episode of that show I used to watch as a kid... Reboot I believe it was. I hoped I would never have to experience an ending like that again... Damn you Bioware... Damn you.
*Loads up ME2 save and hugs Tali*

Quick question for the fellow Talimancers, when you first board the Geth Dreadnought and you have that angry Ex scene with Ash, any reason I only get half of it?

Ash gives her some attitude and then is cool but a vid I saw on youtube shows her taking it even further, even having a crack at her name,

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, absence makes the heart grow fonder.  One thing they did get right more than the other romances from what I have seen except for maybe Garrus is how the reunion plays out.  "I want to keep going, do you?  Yes.  OK!"  was the gist.  Plus she didn't come up to see the fish lol.

I thought it was kinda weak that Shepard was like, "Tali, nothing between us has changed, unless you want it to." for some reason, but after that, it got pretty good.  And after Shepard was begging for her to stay with him (Unlike Tali), she paused, and then said, "Ok." in a unique way, fallowed by a game of handsies.

You know, now that I keep thinking about it, I HAVE to bring this up:

Is it just me, or does Tali have a 'wierd' way of feeling objects with her hands?  It seems almost like a quarian thing...for Tali, it seems as if to feel something, she must move her fingers in a certain way and repeating the pattern for 1-2 rounds.  Perhaps that is how quarians sense touch with their suits?

I didn't really see it that way. For me, Shepard saying that meant that he still wanted her but was unsure where she stood since they haven't seen or talked to each other in a long time(6 months wasn't it?). The same happened on Rannoch where he felt hesitant to ask her to join the Normandy because he knew her duties to the Fleet and to the newly recovered homeworld would mean a lot to her. I just don't think he realized how much Tali loved him. The romance was brilliant in every way in my opinion.

Also, regarding the hand thing, I think it's just a habit of Tali's. In terms of repeated patterns, I'd pass that off as a developer animation thing; Save time by repeating animations.

ICH BRAUCHE DEINE HELFE TALIMANCERS!!

I've decided, in preparation for the hopefully amazing ending DLC, to replay the trilogy. If anyone could shed some light on a few things it'd be greatly appreciated:

In ME1 and 2 is it safe to rush the story and get Tali ASAP, then do all the assignments and other side missions? Or are there timeframes for when missions can be completed like in ME3? (I haven't played 1 or 2 in awhile)

And should I romance Ashley in ME1? I hate her guts, but some of the dialogue between Tali and Ash is pretty good. I romanced Liara in my current canon shep, but...ehh... I've had more than enough of Liara. I know I'm killing kaidan... stupid conversation ruining canadian bastard...

And is there anything else I should know? After all, I am replaying the trilogy in the name of Tali.

and lazy top (I really really like this one though)

ME1 you kind of get her before you leave the Citadel I thought?  ME2 the only real timer is once you do the dead reaper mission where you get legion.  That starts a clock to the ship assault which starts the timer for saving your crew.  What I did was recruit enough to push the story along and get her as soon as i could then did all the other stuff loyalty/side quests.

Yeah, it's habitual as well as (I'm pretty sure) a canned animation- might even be the same one from ME2. Sometimes it pays not to watch the cutscenes *too* closely. =')

But it's a neat re-affirmation though, when they hold hands, regardless. It's... a familiar gesture, a way Shepard and Tali express affection that they both appear to really like. People get into habits like that, nothing unusual there.

There is no real way to rush getting Tali in ME1 or ME2(unless u mod ME2 saves) so you should be safe.

Nobody is forcing you to romance anyone in ME1, I'm sure Tali would appreciate not having to worry about an old flame stealing you away.

Plus, Ashley is awful.

There shouldn't be any consequences in ME1, actually you get her before you even become a specter, Liara's the last squaddie you should pickup. (I'm doing the same thing you are)

http://masseffect.wi...li_and_the_Geth THIS is the only  Tali important/relevant mission in the rest of ME1 honestly. You have to complete it on your own, this DOES NOT JOURNAL UPDATE and you fail it if you navigate at all after completing the Geth stronghold missions in the Armstrong nebula because that automatically reports in to Admiral Hackett and 5th Fleet.

ME2: no not really any major consequences you can find all the N7 missions at pretty much any point in the story, but you do want to be level 10-12 minimum before you go to Horizon which is the story mission you have to accomplish before recruiting Tali.

Well I just got to the citadel for the first time in ME1, I'll try and speed through everything. Do you know how many I have to recruit to be able to go to Haestrom?

Horizon eh? I hope I don't have to recruit that many to go there :(

And only reason I wanted to have a ME1 LI is so that Tali can share my hatred

The Tali hand thing is probably a way for them to help show expression since you cannot see her face. I headcannoned it as one of her things. I've dated gals who have a thing about holding hands it's like that!

Sidenote: What is headcannon? I'm guessing it's how things play out in your mind from your own perspective rather than limiting it to what's shown in-game. Is that close?
