ME1 you kind of get her before you leave the Citadel I thought?  ME2 the only real timer is once you do the dead reaper mission where you get legion.  That starts a clock to the ship assault which starts the timer for saving your crew.  What I did was recruit enough to push the story along and get her as soon as i could then did all the other stuff loyalty/side quests.

HellBovine wrote...

There is no real way to rush getting Tali in ME1 or ME2(unless u mod ME2 saves) so you should be safe.

Nobody is forcing you to romance anyone in ME1, I'm sure Tali would appreciate not having to worry about an old flame stealing you away.

Plus, Ashley is awful.

Well I just got to the citadel for the first time in ME1, I'll try and speed through everything. Do you know how many I have to recruit to be able to go to Haestrom?

Horizon eh? I hope I don't have to recruit that many to go there :(

And only reason I wanted to have a ME1 LI is so that Tali can share my hatred

This is how I do the missions up to Haestrom(side missions not included, but DLC included...sort of):

Start the game, do Lazarus Project level. Then Freedom's Progress, then off to the Citadel to talk to Anderson, get reinstated as Spectre, pick up Kasumi.

Head to Omega, pick up Zaeed, go to Aria, get Archangel(Garrus), then get Mordin.

Then pick up Jack, then Grunt. Then Horizon. Then Haestrom to get Tali.

All the while talking to crew members as much as possible between missions as well as visit shops and buy junk.

Also, if you want a LI for ME1, then practically both Ashley and Liara throw themselves at you. You can decline Liara but I don't think you can decline Ashley like you can for Liara...<_< Declined the romance thing for her and yet still somehow romanced Ash...wat.

The Tali hand thing is probably a way for them to help show expression since you cannot see her face. I headcannoned it as one of her things. I've dated gals who have a thing about holding hands it's like that!

I see.  I had a feeling it was a way of expression, and I also had a feeling the developers wanted to give Tali a unique alien behavior by doing what she does.

Yeah you can add things and scenes that are not in the game... for instances... endings

In my head canon ending,  my Shepard loses his arm, in the aftermath(I reject the Endings in the game now)     Tali with help of EDI and Miranda build him a now cybernetic arm that is made from the same matterial as EDI body that can change is structure to be come softer or harder to the touch...its kinda like Mass Effect automail.

After the surgery he is out getting into trouble with Garrus when he was under strict orders not to do anything crazy that new arm of his.... So of course this  his  LI Tali giving him the "Stern Look  Disapproval"

That looks really cool.

Those colors used for the fabrics... they remind me of the horsehead nebula picture. Either way, looks great.

A. No more a fetish to like claws/fangs/long tongue than it is to like blonde hair or green eyes.
B. Quarian bird stuff? I dont even...

Wierd preferences?  Maybe.

Fetishes?  No.  If that was the case, the thread would already derail into a "I like this body part more..." thread, and possibly close.  Which I hope it never does, because the things they talk about...*Shudder*

Thanks! You may be right. I used a space texture. I'm not sure which one it is though.

Anyone can download the mods here if needed.

TexMod is required.

For me it makes it so I can't hear dialog. So I'm stuck making mods instead of having fun with other people's.

Rannoch has a surface temperate of 48* C. Tali is probably really warm to snuggle against. Posted Image

I did wish Tali had shown up earlier. I found myself saying "This is really awesome so far, but where the hell is Tali?"

I think I'm more upset that my Shepard dedicated his last living thought to Liara instead of Tali. :pinched:

Best to just ignore the last 15 minutes of the game anyways.

The last 15 minutes didn't happened! Nope, no, never happened! Just like the final episode of that show I used to watch as a kid... Reboot I believe it was. I hoped I would never have to experience an ending like that again... Damn you Bioware... Damn you.
*Loads up ME2 save and hugs Tali*
There, I feel better.

Holy crap, someone else remembers Reboot.

I can't tell you how many people have looked at my funny when I go "Hey what was that show...way back when in the computer...Reboot?"

And they just give me that "Sureeee, whatever you say" look. That and Pirates of Dark Water. Man.

Also, on topic. I find Tali's hand movements often have a feeling of perpetual longing to them. It's like everytime she uses them it's in a way saying "What if...". When she rubs surfaces it's "What if I could touch it, live outside this suit" and when she wrings her hands it's "What if he likes me back" or something else related to nervousness.

It all seems to be related, to me anyway, to that singular concept. So much so that it has probably become habitual.

One thing's for sure, Garrus is gonna need to come over and make some calibrations to my central air unit every now and then, because without it, its gonna be so hot in that house at night I might die of heat exhaustion, especially if the bedroom is upstairs.  Though the basement might be nice and cool that at most, you only need a fan...

Plus, how do you know the surface temperature?

I must have missed a codec entry.  Or somebody got too excited and wrote something in.  Who knows?  But if it really is 48 degrees celsius...then holy crap is that hot.  For those of us who don't know celsius, 48 X 1.8 + 32 = 118.4 degrees.  Then again, it could be inaccurate, that temperature might have been taken in the summertime and not conducted extensively.  For a average temperature, that is incredibly hot considering earth's average temperature is 55.4 degrees fahrenheit.  Let's hope the quarians have a high resistance to heat, otherwise Tali might end up seeing Shepard in the hospital quite a bit for heat exhaustion.

There is no way that the quarians live at those temperatures though. Near halfway to boiling, that kind of heat would denature all human proteins, and likely those of all multicellular organisms. Quarians probably live in cooler climates, where they don't stroke out and die in a few hours. But with the combination of extreme heat and arid land, I wonder how quarian mouths, eyes, and skin works. Sweating would be nonexistant or extreme measures, they probably have very little saliva, and they need some mechanism to keep their eyes moist in such dry, hot air. Multiple eyelids, panting, enzymatic and stickier saliva. Biology is fun.

Complete with a arcade, bar, various other fun things and a passageway to Tali's water world (A private waterpark staffed by geth and maybe some of Shepard's crew at times).
