I must have missed a codec entry.  Or somebody got too excited and wrote something in.  Who knows?  But if it really is 48 degrees celsius...then holy crap is that hot.  For those of us who don't know celsius, 48 X 1.8 + 32 = 118.4 degrees.  Then again, it could be inaccurate, that temperature might have been taken in the summertime and not conducted extensively.  For a average temperature, that is incredibly hot considering earth's average temperature is 55.4 degrees fahrenheit.  Let's hope the quarians have a high resistance to heat, otherwise Tali might end up seeing Shepard in the hospital quite a bit for heat exhaustion.

Or when you scan planets, sometimes it gives the temperature (i think?)
yikes, 118 degrees.

Maybe I will need an Enviro Suit do they make human versions?

Is anyone else getting hit with Dune flashbacks? I keep hearing tali ask me to tell me about the waters of my homeworld.

Just sounds to me like an excuse to get Tali out of her suit.

Tali: "Shepard, you told me the AC was broken. It's just turned off"
Shepard: "Oh, well how about that. Maybe it'll break tomorrow."

Complete with a arcade, bar, various other fun things and a passageway to Tali's water world (A private waterpark staffed by geth and maybe some of Shepard's crew at times).

Garrus: "This uniform is terrible"
Shepard: "You lost the bottle shooting contest so you work in our waterpark for 1 month. That was the deal."
Garrus: "But you barely let anybody come here. Why are there uniforms?"
Shepard: "Garrus, some questions are better off left unasked."
Garrus: "It's assless chaps!"
Shepard: "Uh huh, go clean the pool Garrus. Go clean the pool. Dr Michel is waiting for you"

Even if it was broken, she'll find a way to fix it.  You know how good quarians can be with their tech...Though im sure she wouldn't mind taking her suit off and beating the heat with only her underwear on if Shepard was the only one around and there was no alternative.

I wonder what Tali would look like in just underware and no bra?:wizard:

Shepard: "Wha-...I smashed, I mean...someone smashed that thing into miniture pieces with our- their sledgehammer. How could you have possibly..."
Tali: "Let's hope whoever smashes it next time smashes it into smaller pieces."

In-game, don't even expect bioware to release AO content.

For fan fictional stuff, I suggest you use google search with the safety off.  Oh, and keep it to yourself, we don't wanna know on here, the stuff out there on the extranet...*Shudder*

Cannot resist any longer. But why would tali be in her underwear? She can tolerate high temp, while shepard cannot. She would feel cold in average human comfort temperatures.

I don't like the way the back of her helmet looks. It looks like she has barnacles on it

While tali is, indeed, hot and sexy, that is not a cogent response to the man's statement. In fact, those holes are usually connected to the tubes that enter the back of an envirosuit helmet. Look at a male quarian for reference. With the hood normally hiding the tubes, most people forget she has them back there.

I guess in Shepard's case, it would be a unfair advantage for him; he has to wear only his underwear just to keep him from having heat stroke, while Tali can flirt away in normal clothing.  But that's only assuming the planet's average Temperature is 110+ degrees; in reality, very few lifeforms can survive temperatures of that magnitude, and you have to consider the planet was just recently placed into scanning range.  It's probably slightly higher than earth's average temperature if you ask me, the temperature we got was just in a localized setting.

In regards to the temperature the planet could also be one of extremes which would throw the off the average temperature. Its possible that temperatures in areas settled by the quarians are much cooler or more bearable at least.

Something else from that same planet scanning here, folks: "The importance of plant life and shade in ancient quarian culture is evident in the translation of Rannoch's name -- 'walled garden.'"

Quarians probably didn't, y'know, stand out in the open getting roasted by the hot sun if they could help it. Shade and vegetation in settled areas rather important. Add in indoor or enviro suit climate control abilities of the Mass Effect 'verse, and Tali and Shepard would be fine if they ever settled back on Rannoch.

Given the high temperatures of the planet, it is possible that the quarians are at least partially nocturnal, sleeping during the hottest portion of the day. It would also explain the luminescent eyes, as they seem to have some sort of tapetum lucidum (reflective eyes) which would give them better night vision but slightly lessened vision in highly lit areas. The increased sensitivity to light would also be a good explanation for the initial tinting of envirosuit masks as they preferred more dimmed lighting.

Do the scans indicate Earth's average temp? Because for all we know it could only be that hot in some parts of Rannoch, much like how Arizona is much hotter than British Columbia.
