Agreed.  While her physical features are nice, its the personality that counts, which is the main reason why Tali is my love interest in the Mass Effect series.  If anybody else were in that suit, I would reject them for the personality they have, not because of appearance.  I believe the relationship between Shepard + Tali is a great example of a mutual relationship; they both help each other out in times of need and benefit from each other.  There was only one time I had to turn the other way for Tali, and that was on Rannoch, when legion proposed to upload the geth code for all geth.  If I had blindly listened to her, the geth would be no more.  But I understood why she wanted her decision to happen, and should I be unable to make peace with the geth, Tali takes priority, as she is a organic lifeform and someone very important to me.

Thing is I pushed peace for her as much as anything.  I realized that for the Quarians to be strong they needed the Geth.  The server mission showed me that connection between the two.   And Tali even though it went against all her instincts at least trusted enough to take it where it went.

You're not alone. The quality is amazing, but it doesn't fit my description of Tali. When the subject of convergent evolution was brought up a couple of years ago regarding quarian physiology, I've always imagined quarians to be very similar to humans in physical appearance. Matter of taste, I guess.

Exactly.
Take what they started with, and actually apply it to the character model. After the romance scene, instead of having Tali sitting on the bed in her full envirosuit, have her there with the hood down and the helmet in her hand, dark hair cascading down her back as she carefully adjusts the seals on her gloves. Then proceed with the scene, with Tali actually interacting with Shepard, face to face.
Her bright eyes following him as she says " ......Whenever you need me ......":wub:

Bright eyes seem common in headcanon. My headcanon is basically sarah kerrigan, queen of blades.

With less tendril hair thing volume. And less salivation. And a lower urge to infest me with the zerg hyperevolutionary virus. And more cuddles.
Edit: she seems really hungry. I hope being infested doesnt hurt
