It also reminds me somehow of that scene of Star Strek:Insurrection when this one guy tightens his face with a machine.

I think it would have been interesting, if Tali would look strange like this. Many people get real feelings for her, thats basicly the reason why we are here xD and It would be a personal revealation. Maybe it could break our heart, if she would have been ugly, maybe we would ignore this fact and still love her.
Of course such a perfect person like Tali is beautiful.

my problem with it is the head fringes... too Turian... all the alieans have some kind of head thing going on.  Drop those and it would cool.

I much prefer the face markings that  were in the canon picture.

Didn't say it wouldn't have been.
Although it's interesting to see a Star Trek style alien in a 'verse where there are none.
(asari don't count. They look just like blue turians. Look at the head fringe!)

Of course some species might look like this alien-Tali-concept up there, but for me it's just wrong. Tali means BWs Tali for me. Miss Star-Trek-like-yellow-eye is too ugly. If this was Talis face, I'd still adore her but beg her to never ever open her helmet again. Because its just disgusting. For me. Ears are way too huge. Looks like she got varicose veins below her forehead. Her tooth look yellow as well as her eyes. You ever saw yellow eyes? Empreor Palpatine or Darth Maul have got some. The whole face looks loke an elastic mask put over a ball of ropes that build the rest of the head. Thats just not what I'd call Tali.
Of course, thats a matter of taste. But I'd say taste is a matter of luck. Whoever did this must be a really unlucky person. Nah, joke. But I can just repeat myself, am I happy Tali is looking like this:

I agree comepletely...  I have not problem with it expect rushed part of the photoshop  job but other that its good. She did not need  a head crown like Turians.    The  face and neck marks  that are natural  are just enough

Looks definitly not bad and I am satisfied with it, but call me pervert a little less humanlike may be not bad as well


PS: and she is not cute enough ^^
everytime she is talking I would like to kuddle her, but overall I am quit happy with the picture itself.

The way they revealed her face was absolutly brilliant, of course the moment on Ranoch was perfect, but who would have expected to get a picture of her next to the bed? ^^ I nearly got tears in the eyes when, Shep took that picture and looked at it. Couldn't have been that emotional on Ranoch.

I can't remember when was but I was checking mass effect wiki and quarians are the alien race most similar to humans, talking about physiognomy. So I guess this design is ok if is based in quarians race concept. Only humans have real hair, everyone else have only skin, so is fair to share some hair with quarians doesn't it?

Tali's death is sooo painful, don't wanna go through that again, I'm recovering myself from that. I watched in youtube and I promise myself not let her die, doesn't matter who else have die to avoid Tali's death.

Triumphant deaths are awesome.
"I am the very model of a scientist sala-*boom*" and "Fight hard, Chief! DIE PROUD." come to mind. As does Legion's transformation from "them" to "he" moments before going RoboJesus.

Avoidable, sorrowful, borderline pathetic deaths are just that. Such as seeing the krogan's faces alight with false hope, (on a lighter note smiling krogan are frickin' adorable) and then effortlessly slaying Wrex as he brings his A game to hunt you when he realises you shot Mordin in the back, who tried terribly hard, but failed.

Or... this. This. Direct diplomatic failure leading to genocide, of either organic creator species or synthetic creation species - and not even the slow, recoverable kind.
