I read somewhere that Quarian masks are built for durability. Bullet-proofing and such. I don't remember where I read it though.

Oh no...we are reminded of that dark image from the suicide mission...

We are glad we never actually experienced it...but...we shudder everytime...:(

My roommate was playing for the first time, sent Tali into the vent....he picked the right team leader but he took too long :crying:.

Strangely, I actually pooled together the resources to get rid of the scars.  I don't care for them too much, it looks like a pizza scar when its developed enough.  But oddly enough, they somehow reappeared during the non-real ending...not sure if its a bug or some other messed up thing.  I don't think Tali would want to kiss me with a big giant pizza scar on the side of my head.  Speaking of kissing Tali, I gotta remember to be careful with her mask next time; don't wanna leave any smudges on it or accidentally crack it by stepping on it.

Also be aware of enzymatic quarian saliva. May cause mild irritation and/or death.

No. Mild inflammation of gums an outside possiblity. Amount of proteins in dextro-amino saliva insufficient to harm levo-amino being.

I disagree! The climate of rannoch is both very hot and quite arid, so quarian anatomy is highly efficient at conserving water. Thick saliva with higher concentrations of pre-digestive enzymes than in humans, little or no capacity to sweat, nocturnal, etc. Though said saliva would only be released is significant amounts during consumption of food, so there is little real danger. Just don't get it in your eyes, that would burn like a thousand suns.

Took too long?  There's actually a time limit in the suicide mission?  Or are you talking about the timer with the vent system?

Climate has more instances of arid or semiarid locations, but is still planet. More than one Biome, climate.

Timer in the vent. Even after picking garrus as team lead and getting through the section, Tali died anyway :crying:. I had not expected it because it had always worked for me before.

Edit: He almost ran out of time on each vent port - thats what i assume caused her to die.

As long as either of us don't do any crazy things with our tongues or drool while kissing, we should be fine.  Or do anything else that is graphically inappropriate.

I do imagine her having an elongated, thin, cylindrical tongue...

Yet the premise is still valid. 48* C is more than most earthborn mammals can handle. If a human brain was that hot, the individual would be dead in minutes. Granted, rannoch is not one giant desert, but the planet as a whole is still more arid and has higher temperatures than earth by far. Quarians must have significant differences from humans to be able to cope with such an extreme environment.

EDIT: Oh please, not the tongue thing again. in the name of vectron, stop this madness!

Oh dear god, Tali burned...*Shudder* Or did she end up taking a rocket in the face? Either way...I'd rather die and start the mission over than let her cook or get blasted...

I heard some quarians end up killing their mates by sticking their tongues down their throat and devistating their lungs wtih it.  Horrible way to die.

Then you would choke on a very large tongue while she inserts eggs into your abdominal cavity. Not a good way to go man. It would be like alien chestbursters, but your girlfriend put them inside you...

Tali should be fine, though im not sure if she'd let you do that, but whatever you do, don't kiss Admiral Raan if such a unlikely senerio shows up.  She believes in the old ways of the quarians, which is to embrace those you love by sticking your tongue down their throat...horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE way to get kissed...Might even die.

I'll say it again for clarity, that 48C =/= instant or imminant death for humans, even when running around in high-stress situations. You just need to manage sun exposure and ensure proper hydration. I've lived in such environments for an extended period of time. Bedouins have been doing it for centuries.

Only as pregnent as this guy...

Edit: Unschild,
you can survive in that temperature, with difficulty, for extended periods of time. But if your internal body temperature reaches that area, you will rapidly lose consiousness, bodily functions, and die. Protiens in your body start denaturing at far lower temperatures than that. A species endemic to such an environ would have a naturally higher body temperature, as well as multiple ways of conserving water and maintaining safe body temperature.
