Tali's face was always going to be a lose-lose situation for BioWare, no matter how they approached it.

exactly. This is the dilemma as far as designing what she would look like. They have to strike a perfect combination of alien and human . If you ask me, you should be able to tell quarians apart from humans instantly. And that's the challenge, making her alien enough to, well, be exotic, but conventionally attractive to the human eye. How they handled designing her is just unacceptable. My opinion of course. Still love her for WHO she is, not what she looks like. Quite an accomplishment on bioware's part to make people love the character without even seeing what she looks like.

I think they were aiming for the alien look with her limbs, mostly. I thought the photoshop pic was good enough but could be better(looking at you, finger distance).

It would be interesting to see what her legs looked like... especially with what we know about her hand/face.

My hope is that the shooped picture was a test subject to see if the fan reaction was overly positive or negative. Based on what I've seen, more people were mad by the fact that it was a quick editting job rather than that she was "too human". Maybe they'll use that reaction to make a full 3d model of the face? It's a pretty long shot, though. Not getting my hopes up too much.

I've encountered plenty of people that are mad because the source is a stock photo, which in my opinion is trivial. Whether the source was an original creation doesn't change the fact that her reveal is still limited to a photoshopped image.

It seems a good number of people are displeased that the photoshop was all we got-- myself included. I'd like to think there might be possibility we'll see her face from the photo rendered in the additional ending content we're getting, or in some other DLC down the road. Not getting my hopes up, either.

HELLO TALI LOVERS!!
So it's been a long time (not even sure how long anymore) since I posted on the forums. Had to avoid spoilers, mostly what Tali looked like, and how the game ends. Then the ending happened. I was sad. So I went on a spirit quest to find peace. I still could not find peace, or happiness from it. So now I'm here with my favorite people in the whole Bioware community, with my people lol. Now, what aspect of Quarians/Tali are we talking about today?

When was Jacob in Total Recall?! I don't think they can really mess up a 3D modeling too much, the base outline of skin color/texture and overall concept can be seen from the picture she gives you.

I think we can all agree the woman in the photo is very attractive, just a half a** job with the photo shop and the decision to use a stock photo to begin with it's almost as if they forgot and just googled hot chick in the 12th hour. Also does anyone know or have any theories as to why they didn't use Ash Sroka.

yes i do agree the picture given was more then good enough for me lookswise. I just felt like they should have spent more then a few minutes editing it.as for why they did not use ash sroka's face as the base i do not know.

 Where's my healing glass of liquor? You also have to think about how many endings they will have to make just to make everyone happy... Take all the love intrests, multiply by the number of actions that can cause small variations, then also multiply by three for the final choices.... divide... multiply...... and it comes out to a LOT of man hours.  I don't like the ending though, and I'm trying to find a way to animate a series for youtube to try and make a better one  but animation is very difficult.

Grab a stool, my friend. All are welcome. and yeah, it's a lot of work, but a trilogy in of itself is a ton of work if you think about it. Most of us are holding the line and waiting till the announcement in early to mid April.

We've got tons of kinds. You name it, we probably have it. Be it Dextro-DNA or Levo, we've got all kinds. Well, Mad does. It's his bar, I'm just tending it for him till he gets back.
