They said its "better with kinect". Does that mean theres an easter egg ending where you can shoot the kid? Alternately and more on topic, do you think there might be a "swat Tali on the tush" kinect easter egg?

The thing with balancing the xbox on your head while doing all that stuff. On PC, to get that ending, you must tilt the mouse to dodge 5 reaper beams (I hope some of you get that referance) followed by pulling your hard drive out without shutting down or crashing, balancing your entire computer on your head while hopping on one foot with the screen turned off, without dying or saving, and you must save Tali, Wrex, Legion, and Mordin all at the same time.

I may not exactly like that fact that we don't have a 3D representation of Tali sans suit in-game, but to be reasonable, there are important factors in here. The game obviously got time crunched. Things were cut. As nice as it would have been, sparing the time (and it *would* take a lot) to model, texture, rig, and animate her face to the level of perfection that wouldn't make it demeaning to fans is simply not an efficient use of resources, given that they'd only use it for one or two scenes. Heck- we were given a hastily made photomanip (though my only real problem with that is her hand, and the nail polish), and people are in an uproar.

Now, imagine if her in-game model had been so slipshod. As much as I'd have liked to see her in glorious 3D, I'm glad they went this route rather than giving us a sub-par effort in 3D. We all have imaginations, and now we can (literally) fill in the blank, in the case of her face.

I wouldn't say I was in an uproar about it. I am about the ending and perhaps that has made me less accepting of other things in the game, but I could live with the picture thing. I just don't understand why they didn't do the model. There are a lot of minor characters in the game that got rendered and it's not like they couldn't have used a standard human model and retextured. Essentially that would have been the equivelent of photoshopping a picture of a human woman, the only difference would be they would be modifying their own work and we'd get a 3D Render of Tali. If it's just her mask off, they wouldn't even need to worry about hair or the unusual Quarian ears.

Would that count as sub-par or at least any more sub-par then a badly photoshopped stock photo with incorrect fingers? I don't think so.

I come home, it should be the beginning of weekend, I read about the ending, and I already know again that the weekend will not be enough to relax me to a pre-ME3 ending state. *sigh* I need a quarian girlfriend to overcome it.

One can wish.  But the kinect stuff was cool.  You could talk through the dialog tree and say stuff to squaddies.  My favorite is boomstick to equip a shotgun.

I think that might take a while, getting a quarian girlfriend that is. You'd also have a lot of competition if there was only one.

Does anyone remember the Quarian and the Turian in the cafe/bar on Illium in Me2? And her cynical reasoning why humans are attracted to her were a bit close to home perhaps? ^_^

Given the fact, that they included this useless and ugly journalist for no reason, I'm pretty shure they could have made a face for Tali, if they wanted.

Like I said, that would have been one of the most iconic moments of the whole series (probably one of the most iconic moments in video game history) seeing Tali either crying for sorrow, because of the destruction of the fleet or seeing Tali crying for joy about the peace and the return to the planet. That would have been worth to put in some ressources, even so they could have never pleased anyone with her face (that is just completely impossible).

If it would have been done with care, that scene would pop up in every "top ten of the biggest reveals in video game history", "top ten of the most touching scenes in VG history" and what not.

There must be about 9 million out there. This work of art said so, and it said they stranded on Earth.

The invisible rock is not invisible, Shep just placed it in a pocket universe so Tali can carry it around at all times.

So that's how Tali carries all sorts of huge Geth parts in hidden pockets on her suit... Hammerspace.

Dunno, my rock looked pretty solid.

She had a line like "It's always the same: 'Ooh, she's so vulnerable, she could get sick. I wonder what she looks like behind the mask?'"

It was unclear if she was talking about humans in particular or any non-quarian who tries to hit on her.

Anybody else hand Tali and invisible rock?

Yep. Apparently the rock was an infiltrator (tactical cloak).

The 360 version seemed to have the fewest glitches I think, appart from at the end I can't get  the epic ending to work right whatever I do, I seem to be stuck with three depressing chocies that are basicly the same outcome... anyone else found this?

Yah, i am on 360, I saw the rock he handed to her... so sweet!

The reason you still can't see Tali's face in the romance scene even when he's clearly supposed to be removing her mask is because Shep is indoctrinated, as we the players are indoctrinated. We don't know what her 3D face looks like, so neither can Shep.

You're assuming they didn't drop off the civilians on Rannoch before taking the fleet to the battle. The Admiralty Board is pretty stupid (*cough*Gerrel*cough*), but not that stupid. Image IPB

Yeah, but I didn't really interpret that as her describing why she thinks non-quarians are attracted to her, so much as what they usually say or how they act.

Yep, I assumed that the only people to go would be the military ships and the scout fleet, and the civilain fleet would be mostly skeleton crews and voluenteers

Well anyway all the humans she has met seem to be real wankers, but anyway most people would agree that any other Quarian would not be a substiute to Tali :D
