I did a quick search and for those who want to replay Mass Effect 1 and avoid the romances but still want to go through the all dialogue options and not kill off Ashley or Kaidan to ensure you don’t get stuck in a forced romance you can use this guide I found when I played through.

“The long explanation. In ME1: Ashley and Kaidan can be turned down during their first personal convo on the Normandy without any negative consequences. For Ash, pick the "you're out of line" option (she'll be talking about giving aliens full access to the ship). This will kill the romance, and you'll have the same convos with her as a FemShep would. For Kaidan, when he's done talking about Jump Zero during his first personal convo, he says he didn't mean to ramble on. Pick the lower right option ("you're right"). He'll apologise, and you'll have the same convos with him as a MaleShep would.
With Liara, you need to see her first personal convo where she says that she'd like to study Shepard. Then during the next convo (which you need to trigger with the top left option), she'll ask whether there's a romance between Shepard and either Ashley or Kaidan. Pick the middle right option ("they're just friends"). She'll then ask if there's an attraction between Shepard and her. Again, pick the MIDDLE right option (Shepard will say "I'm not interested in you in that way, Liara"). This will kill the romance without any adverse effects. It's important to pick the middle option, because the lower right one has been reported as bugged”

Well, that's simple. Pick up a guy, get yourself out of class by faking a toilet break and never returning, hang in your new boyfriend's flat and play computer games. I cannot recommend Mass Effect 3, though. So maybe try the older ones, or something like that.

I'd save the council either way, it just feels like the right thing to do. I've been considering doing a playthrough from me1 again. I'd have to find my xbox disc though. Is the PC version worth getting instead?

Aiming is a PITA in that one, anyway. But I personally enjoy playing it again. It had such a different feel, much less of an action feel, and that Mako, despite it's horrid qualities, at least took you to distant worlds to drive around...ME3 is space and maps...

Indeed.  The idea of exploring and finding stuff was truly unique.  However, I wish there were more beaches in Mass Effect...the funny thing is I only remember one scene that took place at a beach and it was during Jacob's loyalty mission in ME2.  And by god, was it BEAUTIFUL.

I liked the first game because you could go to different planets and Alot of different planets.

I liked each game for different reasons.  The Mako I both loved and hated as well and I liked the exploring aspect.  Remember running over the little monkeys lol.

ME1 was much more complex rpg wise.  And had a lot of good moments.
ME2 felt more like an action thriller to me, and I loved the squad.
ME3 struck a nice balance and amazing stories even with the horrible ending that shall not be discussed.

ME3 I think has the best overall combat and looks amazing.  And of course Tali is realized fully in an amazing way imho.  Her growth from ME1 was great and the romance played out very well overall.  And I even liked the picture of her

But during a "meet the VA" thing on Youtube Miss Sroka said it and she doesn't wear the mask >.>
