Why is it that Tali gets harbinged a lot in my game?
If she's ever in my party she gets knocked out by Harbinger, then in the suicide mission i accidently get her perma harbinged ;(
She's rated as not very strong for the "hold the line" role. So if you take people that are rated strongly such as Grunt or Thane or Garrus with you, chances are she will get ganked. I think only Mordin is rated more vulnerable. So your best bet is to make sure she is with you for the final bit (and Mordin too if you didn't send him back with any surviving crew). Chikitika is actually handy for the last run anyway, plus, why wouldn't you want her at your side as you face potential death?
She wasn't loyal
Ah, then you have a problem. You can't send her back with the crew and you can't take her with you for the final mission. Your only hope is to take the next two weakest rated squadmates with you and hope the total strength of the line is enough to withstand the onslaught without loss.
That probably won't work (especially if you have a number of disloyal followers and/or don't have the DLC characters to add strength to the line) so you may have to go back to before you went through the Omega relay and complete her loyalty mission, sacrificing half the crew (or more depending on the situation) in the process.
Alternatively you could cheat and use a save editor to make her loyal.

Speaking of nuclear stuff, anyone else find it odd that you only see a mention of it in ME1? You'd think mercs would be into that whole terrorism thing in the Terminus Systems.

Well if it's a Geth Prime by itself anyways.

I saw that event. I only have two characters that I can promote, my human engineer and my quarian infiltrator. I kind of like both of them (especially the engineer is the only character I use on silver atm; tried the infiltrator once, didn't go well). I guess I could re-level them, but I have to think about it.Ryuji2 wrote...

Jack seems to use a nuke on the Pragia facility in ME2. Or a conventional explosive of similar power. Makes me wonder why we had to go into her cell (except for her personal satisfaction); setting that thing off on the roof would've had the same end result.Ryuji2 wrote...

And I live in Tokyo, so I'm intimately familiar with nuclear radiation. Just over a year ago, I didn't even know what microsieverts were.

Wait...chemical explosion?I recently watched a documentary thing on nuclear radiation and it mentioned Chernobyl and a few others...nasty stuff(I know it's not quite the same but I figured I'd mention it).
Yeah, something made boom in a chemical park in Rhineland.

Kinda looks like a Cain, but probably was just one of the companies there. Couple people missing. No informations available so far otherwise. Chem fires are wickedly hard to put out, will take some time till they can call it.
And us Germans, we still have some effects of Chernobyl playing out. One of four wild boars has to be disposed instead of eaten, for example. At least we can pick mushrooms again.

Even terrorists should know not to toy with that stuff. And mercs especially work for cash, which you can't use well when you die of radiation poisoning. Plus space suits are widespread which should at least protect you quite okay from minor and medium radiation for a limited time. Also we see some levels of extreme terrorism. Asteroids sent towards colonies, for example. And blowing up mass relays. Even a plague contamination. We see a lot of terror. And we ourselves kill thousands during every game. If Mass Effect isn't lacking in one perspective, it's terror. You even don't get Tali home in the end, might I remind you about that terror?

Well, I did, I was five when Chernobyl exploded and Germany was within the fallout wind. Since then we weren't allowed to pick mushrooms in the forest, which I used to love. Also we weren't allowed to play outside for weeks. I remember how strange it seemed that we weren't allowed...feel for you. At least you knew it was damaged, took four days for the Russians to tell us what had happened.
And they use a nuke to kill Ashley on Virmire, too.

It was personal, she wanted to nuke the room that was her cell spcifically. I think it was just a really big bomb not a nuke. I loved the scene when they are flying away.

Tali is simply grown up. In ME1 the whole galaxy was new to her. But in ME2 it wasn't anymore. Yet she is only showing her strong and confident mask to the ppl who do not know her. She talks openly to Shepard. She states that she doesn't like to be an Admiral, but she has to be one. Their romance is the only thing that can distract her,. She joins Shepard in ME3 because she doesn't have to worry about Rannoch that much again, and of course, their love.
Perhaps Shepard could be a honorary member of the admiralty board once the reaper war is over? I'm sure the admirals could use his expertise as he saved their rear ends more than once...that, and Tali would appreciate having a strong ally on the admiralty board. At least Shepard can make his point and get Tali through the uncomfortable situations she faces even if she herself is wrong.

The Fukushima situation, at least as far as its impact on Tokyo is concerned, was way overblown. People who live at northern lattitudes get higher levels of natural background radiation than Tokyo got from Fukushima. I get more radiation on a single flight back to the Netherlands than I get in Tokyo in several months. And meanwhile, the international press is shouting "radioactive cloud descends on Tokyo". Bunch of panic inducing bastards.
Much more disconcerting was experiencing the Great Tohoku Earthquake first hand. Most frightening five minutes of my life, I have to say. Then, afterwards, I remember thinking it wasn't so bad, no damage in my area. And then came the TV coverage of the tsunami, entire villages getting washed away just a few hundred km from where I lived. The harrowing business of trying to figure out if everyone I knew was okay (everyone was, thankfully).
Who builds a country on top of the intersection of four tectonic plates anyway?

Yeah, well, who builds nuclear plants on such a country, anyway? And they were lucky the thing didn't blow to bits completely, my kudos to the workers, many will have longlasting health problems but they saved a lot of people by staying in the hotzone. As it is, they just lost a couple of miles around the reactor for a while. Which for the limited space Japan has is still a lot. And the tsunami...man, that was a whole new level of destruction for them. And you can hardly protect yourself completely against that.
Reality sometimes is too cruel to not go for Tali...
