After a long and very tiring day filled with lifting, hammering, and even the occasional drink, Shepard completed what was in his mind, his most important mission yet - he had finally built a house on Rannoch for Tali. He stood back and looked at what he thought was "not too shabby for a soldier", feeling the wind on his face as he doused himself with what water was left in his bottle in an effort to cool off. He called Tali over to him feeling proud of what he'd accomplished, but terrified of what her opinion of it would be. He kept hearing "That balcony is crooked, you Bosh'tet!" in his head. As Tali pranced over to see what Shepard had managed to build, he became even more worried when he saw that she was fidgeting and trying to cover her mask, which was usually an indication that she was upset; to his delight, she turned to him and uttered "*sniff* It's perfect," and his concerns quickly melted into a huge grin. "I'm glad you like it, Miss vas Normandy."
He wrapped his arm around Tali's shoulder, kissed her on the side of her mask and then briskly walked off with a spring in his step, and paint cans in his hands. The sun was starting to go down as he painted the door to their house white which Tali said was "not too subtle, but not too bold either", and he was startled when the dog came up behind him and scanned him. Eventually, Tali came over to him, twiddling her fingers and scuffing the ground with her foot, and said "Shepard, there's something I want to show you..." and she turned and walked to the other side of the house - Shepard followed just as she knew he would, and as he peered around the corner, he saw her climbing up the ladder to the roof of the house.
He climbed up with splintered and paint stained hands and saw Tali laying a blanket down next to the cooler she had so lovingly filled with his favourite drinks. When she noticed he was there, she starting to play with her fingers again and said, "I... I thought you would... Um..." and Shepard walked over to her with a smile on his face, softly smoothed her hood and gave her a long embrace, shifting his weight almost in a sway as he did so. He then sat down on the purple blanket that so perfectly matched Tali's suit, grabbed a drink for himself, and then extended the one in his other hand to Tali, who stumbled a bit on the slanted roof as she went to sit down. They sat there for a while and looked out upon the other quarians that with the help of the geth were doing just as they were - trying to build a new beginning for themselves. Shepard out of the corner of his eye saw Admiral Koris struggling to hammer properly, and even hit his thumb by accicent - he chuckled at the thought of Koris having a big welt on his thumb and quickly turned to Tali to see if she'd noticed.
She was looking down at her feet and then pulled out the large stone that Shepard gave her when they were on Rannoch before the war on Earth, and tossed it down to the ground next to what was going to be a small tilled garden next to the house when the geth were through with it. Tali then started to remove her helmet, and once off, lovingly looked at Shepard with a smile and tears streaming down her face. Trying to use a clean part of his hand (which he knew probably didn't exist after building for an entire day), he gently brushed off one of the tears that was slowly rolling down her cheek. He then pulled her over to him and she rested her head on his shoulder, her hair flowing gently in the wind, and they watched the sunset together, and Shepard whispered to Tali softly, "Looks like we have more time after all."

I enjoyed that. Very well done.At the moment I'm reading Knight's FF. Am on Chapter 4. It hurts to read it after a while though. I think it's because of the dark background to the white text...not sure.

Ok, Would you all call me crazy if I decided to to start a new me1 character, in a tech class (to share some interests with Mrs Vas Normandy of course!) and play through me1 and 2 in the vain hope that when I am done it will be worth playing through 3?
I don't think ME3 can be ''refreshed'' so soon no matter what you do. If you want to indulge yourself with more mass effect goodness (we all do) at this point, you'll probably have to go for some good fan-fiction for fresh content. You might want to put the games on the shelf for a while until you forget many of the details and can feel nostalgia from it.

Not at all. I know a few people have gone back to ME1. If BW doesn't fix the ME3 ending then at least you can remind yourself why you liked the franchise in the first place. Just be prepared for the massive gameplay changes.

I think that I'd probably rather see her dance than hear her sing (something elegant, not just wobbling and waving around in a club - yeah, my dancing is about as good as Shepard's).TrueMadayar wrote...

Two other things
1) Theramin
2) Tesla Coils
EDIT: To be fair Tesla Coils are more a Reaper instrument.
