Turian female. I can see why garrus is trying to move in on my girl when THIS is what he has to look forward to when he goes back home. That is all the reason we need. Talimance every playthrough still.

Well, assuming for some totally insane reason you don't romance Tali as MaleShep, and don't romance Garrus as FemShep....the two of them have been through almost as much with each other as they've been through with you. And they are both Dextros. I suppose that counts for something.

Of course, if Garrus gets with Tali when you had a chance then you've only yourelf to blame. I've yet to play through a MaleShep run without a Talimance, because she's mine goram it. Mine and nobody elses! <.<

As much as i like Garrus, i can never do a non-tali romance because of this. Just upsets me.

BW's point of view(how I see it):

It's...interesting and makes sense considering BW loves Liara so much. Also to those that didn't romance Garrus or Tali, BW probably felt that it would be sad if both would be alone so they got them together.

My POV:

However, I think that Garrus would have been better off with the reach and flexibility girl he talked about. Speaking of, we STILL don't see female turians. What is this I don't even. Then again, that's a whole 'nother topic. None of the other romance options interested me as much as Tali.

Heck, I've stated it before a while back but even in ME1 I didn't care for the options they gave. Tali who wasn't even a LI in 1 was more interesting to me. Finding out she was a LI in ME2 made me jump for joy. It felt right, if that makes any sense. I mean, well, here:

"What could I possibly be suggesting? I mean, a young woman gets rescued by a dashing commander who invites her to join his crew and then goes off to save the galaxy? How could she possibly develop any interest in him?"

Just....

It's even better when you return the feelings. She gets really excited, thinking that there was no way she could be with Shepard and yet she finds out he feels the same way? Probably was the best thing she'd heard in a while. It felt natural, even if it was cross-species. For me, Tali's the best and only LI for my Shep. Brilliant writing on BW's part.

Interesting. Normally I do paragon stuff 90% of the time and never really did renegade stuff against her(even though she is really racist in 1...<_<). Always bothered me.

Edit: LOL this is terrible but I laughed a lot after reading it. I was reading about declining romance in 1 and came across this quote:

"I rejected Ashley on Virmire. I don't think she took it well, haven't seen her since."

With Ash, you have to tell her she's out of line when she talks about aliens on the ship.

With Liara, just tell her you're not interested when she starts expressing her interest in you.

Yeah, I get that Garrus would want to be with Tali because, well, it's Tali.
But I just can't see Tali doing a fling, or getting together just because Garrus feels like it. She made it pretty clear that wasn't possible with her immune system. So, why?

Avoid paragon responses where possible. To be absolutely sure just don't talk to her outside of mission requirements. I think you may even be able to tell her your not interested at some point.

I'm not sure, really. I was trying to offer insight into why BW did it. For me it doesn't make sense for them to be together but it does for BW. I probably didn't word my statement to make it less weird sounding. Considering even if Tali wasn't romanced, I'm betting she still has feelings for Shepard even after the six months away.

Then again I never had to worry about that considering I always romance her.

Easiest way to avoid the ME1 romances for manShep is to nuke Ashley and not talk to Liara. Save it for Liara.

To be fair, Liara fans were really snubbed in ME2. They had to wait for Lair of the Shadowbroker for romance. And I prefer my Shepard to the default one, but he looks better in a helmet.

So it's not just me. It really doesnt make sense. And it IS out of character(at least for Tali).
BIOWARE!!!!!! > more negative points for you.
And Bioware may have done it for the surefire way that Tali fans would NEVER romance another. Talk about staying faithful. All my male Sheps have their hands tied. I was curious about Mirandamancing, or doing a Kaiden loyalty run. Maybe even Thane. But now...It's just not worth it.
Out of Character moments, from professionals like bioware...they just kill me.

I think BW did see it a bit like that. It does annoy me though that you don't get to be involved in that. You have to encourage EDE and Joker together, you have to encourage Gabby and uh..thingy together, none of those can be LI's or friends with benefits for male/female shepards. Yet two characters you can romance just get together by themselves and are the only two that do so (Well, crew members anyway). Add to that the fact you can't start a romance with either of them, only rekindle and you have something that says "canon" all over it. That annoys me.

I don't blame Garrus though. I can't he's too awesome and it's not his fault BW couldn't be bothered to do 3D models for Turian females (despite concept art existing) or to give him any other options. No other squad member hooks up with anyone if you don't make them LI's. That disapointed me too, I wanted my team to be happy. But it seems everyone is too obsessed with Commander Shepard to move on with their lives aside from Garrus and Tali.

Mind you it's pretty flaky the reasoning for Legion having to die to upload the code properly. One of those things just slipped in for plot reasons. You can get away with a certain amount of it mind.

I say there's still a chance Legion can be braught back alive. All that needs to be done is to download Legion's last auto-save, upload it onto a mobile geth platform and volia! It'll be like Legion never died. Legion may have sacrificed his coding to bring intelligence to all geth, but his auto-save still remains...

I wonder what Legion's consensus will decide to do once he realizes the war is over and the reapers are gone...he's always welcome to reside at Tali's house, or at least, I am.  He would make a good manager at Tali's Waterworld* if he ever accepted the position.

*Tali's Waterworld is a fictional large private waterpark built alongside Tali's house.  It is accessable to Shepard, Tali and any other guests the two authorize to visit.  Geth normally staff it, but sometimes organics may too.

That's kinda how I felt considering I didn't kiss Tali because I was worried I might kill her. Luckily, that didn't happen.
