I'm not sure, really. I was trying to offer insight into why BW did it. For me it doesn't make sense for them to be together but it does for BW. I probably didn't word my statement to make it less weird sounding. Considering even if Tali wasn't romanced, I'm betting she still has feelings for Shepard even after the six months away.
Then again I never had to worry about that considering I always romance her.
BIOWARE!!!!!! >more negative points for you.
And Bioware may have done it for the surefire way that Tali fans would NEVER romance another. Talk about staying faithful. All my male Sheps have their hands tied. I was curious about Mirandamancing, or doing a Kaiden loyalty run. Maybe even Thane. But now...It's just not worth it.
Out of Character moments, from professionals like bioware...they just kill me.
There is one other option if you really want to try a different LI. Let Garrus die in the ME2 suicide mission.
But anyway, Bioware deserves negative points for that. I could handle the relationship if it was an option only, or if the other potential LI's did similar things. But just slamming it in our faces like that bugs me no end.
Personality wise I think they are compatible. But I don't buy the sudden ease with which they engage in cross species relationships. It seems to take away from the fact that they would cross that barrier for Shepard.

Easiest way to avoid the ME1 romances for manShep is to nuke Ashley and not talk to Liara. Save it for Liara.
The most you can get from Tali in ME1:
*nowIwannaplayME1snip*
To be fair, Liara fans were really snubbed in ME2. They had to wait for Lair of the Shadowbroker for romance. And I prefer my Shepard to the default one, but he looks better in a helmet.
That somehow helped me get more of a want to play through ME1 again. Been having a hard time trying to keep at it.

Yeah...I was kind of curious about a Jack romance in a different playthrough, but not so much anymore.

-(killing garrus)GOOD POINT!!!!! Yeah, I can just do that!! (why did i not think of it before lol)
-(cross-species)Yeah, the cross-species thing is way too lightly addressed with them. Also, Garrus and Tali went from bickering brother and sister to sudden interest in each other way too suddenly. At first, Tali, Garrus, and Shepard seemed like a family, all brothers and sister, but.... this.... it just ruined that lovely perception. I'm still kind of mourning it.

Given her passive personality though, I think she's wait for Shep to make a move... Although the ME2 romance scene shows that she's a bit more bold that I predicted... Who knows.forthary wrote...
Eh. I think Javik has no idea that the two cannot actually produce a child normally. However, I think Tali would be more than pleased to offer Shepard a 'reproductive' ritual after they settle down on their home in Rannoch, or at least some hardcore snuggling.

If you really liked it then logically speaking they put in just the right amount of effort.

You know, this is pretty much what she said at her romance scene in ME3. "Whenever you need me"
Interesting. Same Tali is the same...

I was overhyped, so I got the collectors edition and it was included with it.
By the way, for those of you curious, the collectors edition has more stuff that's valuable in-game than in-box. I feel kinda disappointed getting a art book with no Tali, a comic that's already been out and a worthless patch that im not even close to being worthy of wearing. But, I think the lithograph isn't too bad. If I were to ever meet Ash Stroka though, I wouldn't mind if she signed my collectors edition box, I would then have a reason to show it off. But that will clearly never happen, im too lazy to travel. Plus, id always be the last in line; all the talimancers will cut in front of me. Id probably have more luck getting a autograph from Seth Green or the voice actor that plays Shepard...

They did pretty much just throw it together in ME3 and very heavily leading up to them... you know. That's the annoying thing I find
even when with Tali, you know why they keep chatting to each other on
comms. It's because BW were establishing their closeness prior to
hooking them up. In ME2 there is a lot of teasing, but that doesn't really mean anything as Garrus teases everyone.
Oh yeah and damn right Jacob doesn't count! To be fair, he never did. Hah!
