She wasn't exactly racist. See, some people in the Alliance believe that they should handle their own problems. See, before their run-in with the turians, the Alliance was made to defend humanity from whatever threatens or provokes them, not to make nice with aliens, and the reason why Ashley, Pressly and Mikhailovich are kind of "racist" about Shepard having non-humans in his crew is something very unusual for the Alliance.

If you really liked it then logically speaking they put in just the right amount of effort.
I really liked it too, and I have no problem with them using an existing photo.

I really like it but it could be better. Like improving her hand for example. Or not making the backround like that. Perhaps making it Rannoch? I like it it but it had more potential.

Well, you can like the picture while still being disapointed you didn't get a 3D model reveal. But anyway I only quite liked it. The glare and the badly done hands put me off. If I didn't know about the stock photo thing I would probably have liked it more, but I'd still not have reached "really liked" let alone "loved".

Down beat yourself down! I'd imagine all of youse is a better Talimancer than i am. I am only a recent addition to  team Tali. (Always liked Talski, but was a lurker, but the ending changed that! So i guess the ending did something right!)

But the ending is only a cautionary tale for writers in how horrible diabolus ex machina makes things in a serious series people are invested in.

Plus to be fair to Ash she did slam whatever that pro-Earth group was that was protesting in the Citadel in ME1 for being mostly full of racists (providing she's with you when you talk to them). The scene gives you the oportunity to offer the racist dominated group your support. Ash discourages you from doing so and actually interupts the conversation to shout at them. I think people are a bit unfair to her really. I'm not saying she's a great character but she's not some kind of racist space facist like some people say either.

As for Pressley, I found his log entry at the Normandy crash site really moving. I should point out that I paragoned him up, so through the entries he gradually learns to trust them and admits he was wrong. By the end he says something like he would gladly sacrifice himself to save any one of them and it's been an honor serving with them. *sniff*

Let's also not forget that many of the aliens you meet, especially Turians, in ME1 are distinctly anti-human. You get the impression that the start of ME1 is about the point where the tide is turning in relations between Humanity and the other races.

I was still in my "cooling off clothes" when I noticed my feet were turning purple and I looked more vampirish than usual (which is really hard for me to do). XD Fuzzy socks, sweat pants, and hoodies FTW.

Yessss I love predicting things that I really know nothing about xD Meanwhile in Australia the weather has been consistently neither hot or cold. At least its finally cold enough to need sheets when I sleep
