4 more days till PAX. Here's hoping for some good news. *downs a glass of scotch*

Ahhh...back to the lounge chair for me...

Yes.

I raise my physical scotch to your internet scotch... through the internet. I guess that means I have internet scotch too. Only a few more days and a couple hours drive depending on traffic.

=]

I heard somewhere they were working on a live stream. I'll see if i can get in on that.
For Tali!

Was anyone else mad you have to wait for HALF THE GAME to be over before you can regain Tali in BOTH Mass Effect 2 and 3, while in the original, she's the first alien squadmate that is non-optional?

Literally, everytime I replay ME2, My mindset was "Gotta get to Tali, gotta get to Tali, gotta get to Tali..."  Luckily, ME2 sated my Tali thirst with the mission to Freedom's Progress.  That was enough to hold me over to the halfway point, at least.

Just feels like the game hasn't even started until I get my quintessential squad together (Shepard, Tali, and Garrus).

So the first halves of Me2 and Me3.....I'm just trying to rush things along until I can get Tali back...then the game gets to actually START for me.

Agreed.
Mmmmm. When I met Tali at Freedom's Progress for the first time, I almost fell out of my chair. The rest of the game, I kept waiting for her to show up again, and when I met garrus instead, I was like <_< because I wanted Tali. Second game felt like even less Tali was given!! and there was practically no mention of her! Poor Shepard... Poor Tali... Stupid Bioware...

Edit: Keelah Se'lai, hold the line. ttuguyzlatrz

^Pic above: I'm glad StarKid didn't make it in there  awesome pic. love ur stuff.

Yeah, I had a bit of sad. I felt completely gimped until I got Garrus in the party, then half-gimped until I finally got to Rannoch. I didn't get that same feeling in ME2, though, since Garrus gets recruited almost as fast as ME1, and there was that "Tali teaser" on Freedom's progress which helped. To be honest I wasn't completely sure of her character yet at that point, she kinda grew on me throughout that game with the evolution of her character.

Then what? Fecal matter hits the induction fan?

Bioware panel at the PAX convention. Answers will be had... or not, then I'll be there to observe the mob.

One of the oldest Tali unmasked pictures that I know of, and it turned out to be pretty accurate. Zounds.

A live stream would be interesting.

But man, 4 days from now...hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Best case is I look forward to playing the actual ending. Worst case is I look at starting fan fiction.

My worse fear for Friday is that essentially when the panel for ME3 opens at PAX, the panelists spend all their time talking about how they developed it and how proud they are of their work, and they'll only take questions from carefully selected plants in the crowd who will ask them questions like "What was your favorite part of ME3" and other such less than relevant questions given the current controversy.

If this happens, we will pretty much have to remain with head-canon endings -.-''

*EDIT* The head canon for me: www.fanfiction.net/s/5954064/1/RaelaShepard_nar_Normandy

Best case would be for them to admit their mistakes and change the ending, ala Fallout 3.

haha fanfiction is the "worst" case? I think they are quite good. You should read them.
I will agree an announced DLC ending would be better though

Until this whole debacle with the endings i had never read any fanfiction at all. Now i can't seem to read enough of it. At least something good has come out of all this.

I'll admit, even I have thought about looking at some Fanfics lately. Usually not my cup of tea.

On a happier note, some of our more artistically gifted Talimancers can help with this:

Oh yes, some of the fanfiction I've read is pretty good.  One of my favorites is 'A Gentle Breeze Before the Storm'.  Even though it took place after the events of Mass Effect 2, its still pretty good, and rather detailed.  I've merely only thought at starting a unique fan fiction that has interactive choices, in case the worse case plays out.

I have a copy of this video saved onto my hard drive.  Though it could certainly use some editing, its a nice piece to help form your 'tali memories' of Mass Effect 3.

And she is the first person you run into in ME2 that was from your squad.  Plus she just trusts you off the bat.  Amazing girl she is.  Trusts you, agrees to work with you, but also knows her duty which I respected even if I wished she would come with me.  When you think about it, the one person who was always there was Tali.  She did her duty but as soon as she could came back to you.   She never questioned who you were even when with Cerebus because sshe knew you.   It is interesting how the two side characters from ME1 become in many ways you main people to the end.
