With the posibility of starting a forum conflict, what is your Tali like?  I mean specific traits (physical or mental, weather they violate the picture or not).

My Tali has a long, thin tounge.  That's about all the traits I have given her.

Bioware's version. Without a hand that's been half cut off by scissors.

Ahh, robo-hands?   But yah, I  hope they fix that.

Hmmm...well, I suppose the two major differences that I went through with Tali is that I ACTUALLY had to think over starting a romance with her in Mass Effect 2.  Granted, most people either said ok or a small minority declined, but I actually thought it over.  And, in the end, I accepted.

The other difference is the first time playing, I couldn't suck it up and have the courage to comfort her.  I didn't want her to die because of some vicous disease I would give her by having some sort of physical experience.  Thankfully, the game designer oversaw this way of thinking and treated the romance is if you did kiss her.  Had these decisions actually carried weight in the third game, I think the romance would have played out diffferently.  Tali may have been more nervous, or she may not have ever taken her mask off at all in the game.

That's the one minor thing that bugs me: If you chickened out in Mass Effect 2, it doesn't have consequences in 3.  But, one could see that as a strength, especially considering that in future playthroughs, you will probably end up kissing her just to see what happens.

*Renegade*

Do I have to bring the crazy fetish people onto these fourms!?  DO I!?

*Crowd is silent*

If you start talking tongues again, they'll be here, and talk about things you wish you never heard.

Considering the average smartphone has more computeing power than the lunar lander, I'd say that's a safe bet. Though I doubt Tali's seven zettabytes are used for the same purpose as Joker's.

On the subject of Tali not being available until late in both ME2 and ME3, that was quite exasperating. They say good things come to those who wait, patience is a virtue, yadda yadda yadda... Obviously, they weren't a Tali fan. :P

I originally got into Mass Effect after watching my girlfriend play ME1 and helping her with certain bits. Garrus and Tali very quickly grew on me. So when I got ME2 for the PS3 and found out you could romance Tali... I knew my objective. But daaaang did the wait drive me insane... My girlfriend probably got very tired of me constantly asking "Where's Tali? When do I get Tali? Am I close to Tali yet?" Oh well. At least I had my bro Garrus to keep me company; I went out of my way to recruit him first. XD

Then in ME3, I have to go through the whole thing all over again. *facepalm*

On the subject of drinking... Eh. Sparsely. Turian Brandy sounds nice, though.

On the subject of multiplayer, I have a level 20 Quarian Infiltrator who likes to snipe things, and a level 20 Krogan Sentinel who likes to RAR ~thwak~ HURHAHAHUR things. Unfortunately, I'm on PS3, and y'all seem to mostly be on 360 or PC. Oh well....

On the subject of my personal Tali... Hm. I'll get back to you on that later. Somebody posted a pic of a background or something a few pages back, and after seeing that picture several months ago, its the image of Tali that's been stuck in my head, rather than one of my own creation. (Not that I'm complaining.)

Also... Hi, I'm new.

To my Shepard, it WAS a suicide mission.  They knew they could die in a few hours, they needed to express their fealings phisicly before they were unable to.

Hmm...there was talk of it during the whole Mass Effect 2 plotline, but I was never convinced that the whole thing was a suicide mission.  That's why I turned down the romantic encounter with Tali; for some crazy reason, I thought that there was a better way to romance her, and believed that if I waited in 2, then in 3, I would have a better romance scene because I fallowed the important part of a relationship: Waiting.  Not to mention I would do whatever it takes to keep her alive.

I thought maybe I would be able to rent a clean room or have some other special event occur to me in 3.  Too bad it doesn't matter, and I was wrong.  Oh, and that even bioware agrees that waiting is NOT a important part of a romantic relationship.  Almost nobody refuses to state that it is an important part, it seems.  No wonder the real-world is the way it is.  Anyways...

Welcome, friend. You'll like it here, provided you don't mind occasionally sifting through the conversational detritus that consists of body parts and bizarre speculation on mating rituals. Yes, the wait to nab Tali in ME3 lasted most of the game, but it was "totally worth it".

As for the alcohol, good olde-fashioned Earth scotch never goes out of style...

There's not much to come up with.

I mean, even in my avatar/profile picture here, you can actually see her face through her visor. (Moreso in Mass Effect 1, where her face is even clearer because alternate armor have differently tinted visors which are easier to see through, such as Red and Yellow)

I did picture them to have very short hair, if any, though, with some kind of chitinous skin like the Turians, though less so to make for her human-like face and torso.

The long hair is still very puzzling, given the envirosuits.

So to recap

Her face...there's nothing to speculate about.  You can SEE it through her visor.

Her actual skin texture, I imagine to be slightly rough/chitinous (I'm interpreting those dots down her neck to be insect-like airholes.)

As for the hair/back of her head...I picture their heads to be slightly more elongated in the back (Shape of the helmets, especially the males'), and bald (Maybe short hair, at best) to make room for all the internal uses of the suit.

Her body use a humans torso with turians arms and legs, leading to my conclusion that her skin should be a little more insect-like, a cross between human and Turian (Like the texture of an Asari's head fringes).

I do like the idea of purple skin, though, if it IS only due to the color of her suit.  So I imagine the Quarians to have tones of blue/purple skin (as opposed to the Asari's ranging from blue to gray).  Their glowing eyes would compliment that skin tone better, as well.

What I don't get about all the fan-art is all the random markings on her Face.  Those markings are flat not there under the visor.

Quite alien, bald, pale purple skin color, white eyes, thin Turian-esque mandibles, albeit human nose.

Eh.... my mistake. Colour me embarrassed.

My apologies. I still find myself leaning to the stereotype that non-males barely exist on the internets, more so on the Tali thread.

I don't recommend getting a PC from wal-mart or some other retail store.  Or at least, if you do, try to pay attention.  Some of them aren't really capable of running games.  The best they can do is render Tali fanart on your monitor and play solitare.

Speaking of which, are they any mods out there that modify the deck of cards a windows PC uses to resembles the Mass Effect series?  I would be most interested in finding out...nothing better than seeing Tali as the queen of hearts...

Thanks for the welcome.  I've been lurking a couple of days, and I think I can deal with the sifting of random topics and odd discussions.

Also, never had scotch.  Will have to try it at some point...

Also, that picture is hilarious.  I particulalry love Garrus in the background with the drink, like he's just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  XD
