Also, it has not been confirmed (at least officially) that we'll see Tali's face. Everytime Casey answers that question he says we'll have to wait until the game is released to find out.

To paraphrase him from Comic Con:

"We know exactly what to do with Tali's face. You're just going to have to wait till march to find out what it is."

It should be noted that he said this with one of the biggest grins on his face that I've ever seen.

Edit: TotPT. Haven't had one of these in a long time.

Grunt's line was someting like that, "You're soft, all of you. Humans, Asari. Quarians...not so much. Turians, you have to work the blade around a little, I guess...don't see much point to it though. "

well, i think it could be the suits but those words aren't giving out to much info.

Yes, I think that's what Grunt says word for word when he mentions the Quarians. They seem to be somewhere between the Turians and the Humans/Asari in terms of toughness. As you pointed out, we don't have anyway to tell whether it's because of their suits or skin.

If your assuming its the suits that he is talking about are you  also assuming that all the other species are naked? I mean Shepards armor is probably stronger than talis suit... So are quarians the only ones that he decides to include a nonbiological factor to?

Odds are a Krogan will never encounter an enemy Quarian without its suit. So yes, if there was to be any species that Grunt would assume to have always have "a nonbiological factor" as part of its defense, it would be the Quarians.

no, not naked. but you can't slap a volus's face cause you will hit to the suit right? Quarians are always in suits. Most other races are not. I take grunt is talking about hand-to-hand combat, so combatants would not be in full-suit-armor unless one of them is a quarian or volus^_^

That depends on the age of Grunt's imprint for the imformation.  If it was from priot to the 300 years of the Migrant Fleet suits wouldn't have been a factor since they're not as dependent on them.

Also since it amuses me... a preview of the far future in my Fanfiction.

Joker spun slowly around as he heard the light step of a familiar pair of feet.  He grinned up at the quarian who was slowly walking up beside the chair with her omnitool out. "So, it really is you isn't it?"

"Yep, it's me." Tali laughed. "Did you miss me?"

"Miss you? Nah, but I think Shepard did.  He's been bugging me about old times, you know?"

"I bet." She tapped her omnitool again and scowled leaning over the side and running a three fingered hand over something out of sight.

"So… what are you doing?" Joker asked as he shifted nervously in the chair.

"Looking for bugs." Tali said and there was a crack from her omnitool before she pulled a device about the size of an old tech mine from under the helm. "Found one."

"Crap, that means…"

"Cerberus has a total list of all the jokes you cracked since you got aboard?" Tali slipped the device into a pocket in her realk. "Come on Joker, as if you cared who you offended."

"True."  Joker spun around to the front. "Think you could trim up the thrust output?"

"Sure, it not responding as fast as you'd like?" Tali asked as she resumed scanning.

"Hell yeah, I can handle sensitivity issues on this end but the engines… it's like they're either on or off, no setting in between." He smirked as Tali glanced at him. "Okay, maybe there's one middle one."

"I'll look at it." Tali slowly shook her head. "So, what have you been up to besides pulling me off Haestrom?"

"Oh, been around, saved the Horizon colony, saved Garrus from every damn mercenary on Omega, found a genetically engineered krogan for the team, a crazy biotic, and a salarian mad scientist." Joker shrugged. "You know, the usual sort of thing you get to do under Shepard."

"I meant you personally." Tali said, a smirk slipping into her voice.

"Hey, now… You were my favorite, now I'll have to pick a new one!" Joker laughed. "Nah, you're fun Tali. You got me a chance to dogfight some geth frigates, and you'll make this baby fly so nice she'll purr." Joker stroked the helm affectionately.

Tali's eyes narrowed. "I doubt EDI will make purring sounds for you."

"Engineer Zorah is correct." EDI said from beside the helm on her holopad projection.

Joker grunted and gestured to the holopad. "Yeah, could you do something about that?"

"I'd love to, but Shepard…"

"He told me the same thing… yeah, don't break the boss's toys." Joker shrugged. "So anything else?"

Tali fell silent for a moment studying her omnitool before deactivating it with a sigh. "Yeah…"

Joker slowly turned to her, an eyebrow arched under his hat.  "I sense a deep question coming."

"Why'd you join Cerberus?" The way she said Cerberus made a chill go down his spine.

Joker deflated a bit and looked at her for a long moment.  He shifted nervously in his chair.  "You know what happened after Shepard died?"

"I heard you were reassigned, I tried to keep in touch but…" Tali closed her eyes and hung her head forward a bit.

Joker rubbed his face. "The whole team was broken up, assigned different ships or ground stations supposedly to spread around the 'experienced crew' or some ****.  They just wanted to separate us.  I was assigned to fly shuttles out of Arcturus, just back and forth to Earth usually.  Every couple weeks they'd have us debriefed again asking if 'we remembered anything' else about the 'Saren Incident' after a while I figured out they wanted us to lie, agree with the official story the Alliance and Council were spinning about Sovereign being a geth creation and the whole reaper story being a lie by Saren to get the geth on his side."

Tali stood silent, watching him.

"I started getting offers, just hints as to who was making the offer and so forth.  Then the Alliance brass started making me go through psychological examinations.  I think they wanted me to crack." He rubbed his pants and closed his eyes. "Maybe I did, I don't know.  If I hadn't had stayed at the helm and evacuated like I was supposed to then maybe he wouldn't have died.  They grounded me then, and Cerberus offered me a position as a pilot.  I was stupid, pissed at the Alliance and Council so… hell yeah I joined Cerberus."

He turned back to the helm and shook his head. "After a year I thought better of it.  These guys are terrorists, bad to the bone.  I looked at getting out but…  They found out.  They showed me what they were doing.  Didn't believe em at first, not till I saw the lab."  He shivered involuntarily. "I figured I'd stay on, hope it was real… and here I am.  Chakwas joined when I did, think it was so she could keep an eye on me."

Tali slowly relaxed and nodded toward him. "Thank you Joker."

"Do you think he blames me?" Joker asked. "You know… for getting him killed?"

"I don't think so.  Keelah, you couldn't even walk."  Tali shook her head.  "You used to sleep in the helm cause you didn't want to hobble back to the pods.  How else would you have gotten off that ship?"

"You weren't as nice at the funeral about it." Joker said quietly.

"I know." Tali closed her eyes and shook her head. "At least he's back."

"Now that you've had your thoroughly embarrassing question…" Joker smirked. "I didn't get the chance to say I like the new outfit, very nice.  But… your voice sounds a bit different."

Tali put a hand over her voice modulator and sighed. "Keelah, alright fine, just don't spread this around."

Joker held up his hands. "Me gossip? Never! I'm not a people person."

Tali rolled her eyes. "It's nothing that embarrassing… but, you know how I said the pilgrimage is a rite of passage for adulthood."  She rubbed her visor as Joker nodded. "I may not have mentioned it, but it's also around the same time as the last stage of our adolescence and…"

Joker grinned. "Your voice broke?"

"Broke?" Tali looked confused. "No, it just changed… after I went mute for a few…"

"Humans do it too Tali, their voice breaks and changes.  It's just we tend to do it earlier in adolescence." Joker grinned.

Tali looked at the deck platting. "Oh, keelah."

"You always did seem like a little sister, crushing on the Commander."  Joker grinned as Tali straightened and glared at him.

"I was not!" Tali said.

"Oh come on…" Joker smirked.

Her omnitool crackled to life and a spark shot along it. "This discussion is over."

"Fine, subject dropped." Joker said as he held his hands up in surrender.

10 reasons why Tali needs to be by Shepard's side (be it male or Female, it doesn't matter, she is there for us :) )

10-She is the best looking girl who doesn't show her face, we don't know how she looks like, and yet we know she is beautiful.

9-Tali is the best female character in the entire game, even other Quarrian females pale in comparison.

8-Tali is the best Engineer in the galaxy, she can make a simple circuit board do zero jumps :)

7-Tali's voice is hypnotizing, best female voicing in any Bioware games ever! I mean it Bioguys, she makes the entire game entertaining.

6-Tali is the only reason I bought the games, both, really, she is the only reason, I don't care about the galaxy, it can burn, I would rather enjoy the sights with Tali and me drinking on Bahama's :D if it still existed :)

5-Tali's conversations with some team mates on missions are the best convo's in Bioware games, a second close is Merrill :) but Tali is still 100000x better :D

4-She has a drone with a name :D so sweet :)

3-She is sweet herself :)

2-She is a character you just have to love, either because you hate her, or love her, you still love to hate her or love her, I know it makes no sense, but that is it :)

1->>>>>It's Tali, no other explanation needed :)<<<<<<

It'd be funny if in ME3 when it shows her face shes wearing another helmet...or a balaclava :bandit:, that would just make me rofl.

If they have hair... I'd actually expect something akin to a skull cap or something to keep it under control.

I have to agree. Quarian's probably keep their hair nice and tidy.

Other wise when Shep took off her visor, it would have turned into an 80's disco party rather then a kiss.

I always imagine Tali having short curly hair... still I always imagine this when the helmet and skullcap comes off.

Reaching back she pulled it free of her head revealing short curly hair. It was messy and John chuckled.

“What?” Tali asked frowning. “Did I hurt you or…”

“No Tali…” John reached up and touched her cheek softly before running his hand through her messy hair. “You’ve just got helmet hair.”

Garrus is Shepard's bud, hence his presence. Tali is actually the one singular plot thread linking ME1 - ME2 - ME3. Her trial isn't important to the plot of ME2, it's important to the plot of the entire Trilogy. Big difference there.

Garrus is barely more connected to the plot than Tali is. At least he has motivation for the suicide mission. However his presence in the game, driven by the fans, ultimately derailed his character development and nullified the way we'd guided him in ME1.

Tali's trial could have been saved for ME3 and been more than a sidequest as a result.

There's no question that Tali and Garrus are squadmates in ME2 and 3 due to fan pandering. The only plot significance either had was Tali providing evidence against Saren in ME1 before fading into the background and becoming as important to the story as engineer Adams and Chakwas.

Which is extremely unfortunate because ME3 woudl have been Tali's chance to really take center stage right up there with the VS and Liara.

@StellarMagic: Good minific. I enjoyed it.

@Havoc10K: Hah, agreed. Nice list.

@Sap: In Mordin's recruitment mission Tali says that 'the threat is bigger than humanity and they need to stop the collectors.'
She knows about the Reapers. Saving the galaxy is enough motivation.

And she mentions that they are saving the galaxy in one of her romance lines, too.

It's possible, nay probable that when they laid out the overriding plot they found that Tali's part is too big in ME3.  Come on, the trial and getting the Geth and Quarians together?

I mean, who else has such a huge influence... Liara might give you useful info, Wrex may bring the Krogan clans to a forefront.  Almost certainly the Quarian - Geth Conflict.  No other conflict has a representative of both sides like that.
