Listening to "I was lost without you" from the ME3 soundtrack.... Anyone else a little miffed that the "third portion" of the track didn't end up in the Tali romance? Or is it just me...

I am content that Rannoch is the best track in the OST.  That more than makes up for it.

You have me there. That's easily my favorite track of the score.

It's good enough to have been the actual theme for Mass Effect 3.

I count it as such, especially consideirng romancing Tali.  I pretty much consider ME3 as having ended with Rannoch, all things consider.  I just pretend that one on Rannoch was Harbinger and call it a day lol.

When me and Tali sit down on the cliff at the end of it all, I just kinda...pretend that's where the credits start rolling, with my love interest and I settling down on her home world.

WELL

When you think about it... The ME3 "character creation" soundtrack plays as you break through the Quarian fleet to the Geth dreadnought, and the whole Quarian/Geth plot is almost completely CENTRAL to the themes that Mass Effect tries to push across (organic vs. synthetic self determination). Poignant enough for you? I know it was for me... everything fit together perfectly, with the Tali romance plot. Eh... until the end... but that's another story...

Also Revan, your pictures are a better ending than Mass Effect 3. and your pictures aren't even endings!

Hm, just like how the Texas Chainsaw massacre is a better love story than twilight. It makes sense.^_^

Thanks to you, I now have to wipe this fruit juice...thing I've been drinking off my monitor. :P

*cough* Does make perfect sense though!

I agree. Half of my time playing ME3 was spent screaming at my monitor because of the lack of choices, choice that should have been given and was not there, or Shepard saying something completely different from the
dialouge "choice" I picked. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png[/smilie]

Pretty much... although at least the paragon options when talking to Tali were pretty good imo. Could've been better, but then again, so can a lot of things.

Edit: FORMATTING, ARE YOU KAI LENG IN DISGUISE?! I WILL STAB YOU!

It's certainly not "fail". The fact that you can generate images fast enough to be almost in-line with the thread is impressive as-is.

Perfection: without it, there can be no art.
Getting by: Accepting the mistakes you made with your art.
Not Caring: Not fixing the mistakes you made with your art even when they are glaringly obvious.

Mass Effect 3 endings. I learned from them what NOT to do when being artistic.
But thank you, :) I am touched.

Perfectionism is a beast that's only useful when it's harnessed and controlled to a degree, and used when needed. Take my advice, lest you suffer my fate.

Are you just flaunting your literacy, or also claiming to be an English Major?  :P

Mostly the former, but I was mostly raised by my English Major and English Teacher grandmother....so I might as well be an official English Major myself, I just don't have the degree.

Part of perfectionism is understanding that what around you, and therefore art, is imperfect. But everything also echoes a perfection that Could Be, or perhaps Once Was. Capturing this is the essence of art, something I hope to one day achieve. Though I'm not quite there yet, I won't grow if I accept the glaring imperfections. Of course, believing I can /have/ perfection would be hubris, and thus the only way to go is down.
Tali's character, is, I believe, a /perfect/ example of that echo. Absolutely a beautiful capture

Funny how this is about that silly little comic I posted :P

I'll make a conscious effort to go back and check your posts regulalry, then, to avoid missing anything important.  ^_^

Edit:  Oh crap, top of the page!  Doesn't that mean I have to post a picture?  Er, can I pass the responsibility off to somebody else, or is that bad juju?  I'm a bit too busy with other stuff to go off searching for one right now...  :pinched:

Edit 2:  Nevermind.  I don't know how to post pictures on here yet, so its a moot point.  XD

I do? You have my thanks. *nod* I'm glad I can contribute to this amazing thread. Any time my PC's on, there's a tab open of this thread, constantly being refreshed. I think I started posting back on page...600? 400? Don't remember...been a while. Never thought I'd come to care about a fictional character as much as I do Tali. This threads keeps me going some days. ^_^

Funny? I suppose, that's what comics are for. What I like about you though is that you post well drawn and thought out images that convey what they're meant to. Me? I'd be agonizing over the details/minutiea for days if not weeks and never post them. It's why I rarely draw anymore, and why I rarely write. Agonizing over details. You, at least, have the courage to display what you create, and you create it well.

Well I have this innate thing built into me where I just HATE double posting. Then again, this thread moves very fast a lot of the time so the chances of it happening are low...BUT STILL!

Edit: still not helping my case by making this edit but I just proved the point...mmkay then.

Wait until Friday... you may end up retracting your statement... Or not. Either way, who can forget the reapers? Sorry, but the galaxy is more important than Rannoch and even if my Shepard has to die in a pool of blood I'd rather have that than the notion the reapers are still out there...

See, this is why I eventually want to get the Trilogy on PC (After getting a new PC).  I want to just play as Tali.  Though I really don't like Femshep's voice, so seeing it come out of Tali...well, I'll really just be playing as a random Quarian.  Still better than the trollish Femshep though.

What I do is, focus on the >point< What really matters? What is the point of all that you're doing. That is first. Then, move on to everything else, and sketch, rough draft, whatever, what matters is that the point is made and communicated.
That's all art is, in the end; finding the best way to communicate.
BTW: Very well worded compliment/review/critique. Powerful, gets your point across. You can do it if you try!!=]

I'm surrounded by artists. XD

My drawing skills aren't bad, but they aren't great, either. I much prefer creative writing as my artistic medium. Might get back into fan fic writing, actually...

Anyway, I need to go to bed. Gotta get up (relatively) early and finish my assignments. Night y'all.
