omg, men, d't name your daughters Tali, pleeease)
yes, Tali is my favorite character in games ever - she's very adorable, i agreed.

But your children are independent humans and this name may ruin her life.

I know about this - i'm from Russia (former soviet union) and our people in 1950-1980 years very often named their children like Lenina (in name of Vladimir Lenin), Hertrud (Hero of "Trud" (work)), Olympiada (in name of olympic games), Dazdraperma ("Da zdrawstwuet pervoye maya" (in name of 1st may celebrations)).
And this people now have problems with their names - they're too funny for modern people. Sometimes they're forced to change their names.

Yes yes, Tali sounds much better, than Dazdraperma agreed :D

We could balance it up by naming our sons Garrus.

I think a dog named Grunt would be funny too and dog's don't really care if they get a silly name either. I'd also have a cat named Admiral Hackett. Lol.

But I can see how naming a girl after a very good man with an alarmingly bald head could be problematic... Not exactly the best way to show femininity.

While that is a valid point of view, the context of the name Tali when compared to names you provided is quite different. For instance, I'm pretty sure Lenin, a revolutionary in Russia is much more widely and well known than Tali, a character in a computer game.

The name Tali is perfectly fine in modern society. I would think that it would be fine to name your daughter Tali.

Tali would be a good name for a daughter.
Hell it's better than my name irl. I've only heard of another person with my name that's how odd it is.

Should agree with this.
Maybe i just too overestimate popularity of ME in wide masses of people

Tali sounds like eastern name and sounds realy cool
btw, quarians are like gypsies in real world - maybe this name comes from them too o_O

I'm loving when people from around the world who don't know English as well as us pompous North American folk post. The way they say things is quite frankly adorable to me. :P

My name is decently common, but nowhere in the realm of Kaitlyn or Ashley.
My problem with it is that a very... Unsavory celebrity unfortunately has the same name that I do.

[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie] Well my name is Ryder. I've never heard of anyone else who has the same name as me. Care to share?

Hehe. Tali is such an awesome name though.

The first things that came to mind were "Paris" and "Snooky". More/Less unsavory?

Indeed, Tali is in fact a real female name...
I believe it to be of either Armenian or Jewish origin, it means "morning dew"... :P

EDIT: sorry for the blank post, wrong button...

How about a question.

How many of you would be interested in naming your daughter Tali if you ever have a daughter?

I want to love Tali as a man, not as a father, you know what i mean

Let's all name our children "Commander Shepard". It's going to be hilarious.

"Commander Shepard, stop throwing mud at the other kids !"

You've chosen a great artwork for this page !

I'll have 2 sons the reason solely being to name them Wrex and Shepard. Hilarity would ensue.

Shepard: Wrex.
Wrex: Shepard.

LOL@Shepard/Wrex thing. On a related note, anyone else named their Shepard "Shepard" or "Commander"? Nice to have people use my first name now and then. :D

That would make the discussion with Chakwas in ME3 kind of weird.

"I've never used your first name, Commander, and I never will."
"But Commander is my first name!"

EDIT: I named one of my Shepard's Yuri. I'll give you a cookie if you can figure out why. Image IPB
