Honestly the obsession in this forum is astounding. i kinda feel awkward that i chose tali but when you look at it she is really the only choice if you care about character development. of all the characters she has the most detailed personality design and back story. sorry Ashley, a hot ass doesn't make up for lack of back story and shallow personality.

as for liara her voice acting couldn't have sounded more forced if it was done by William Shatner during his kirk years.

so yeah i am a tali fan but honestly you guys scare me.

Rael: So, you're Shepard.
Tali: Father..
Rael: I'm not sure I'm comfortable with my daughter being so friendly with you. She has a responsibility to the fleet.
Paragon: Of course, sir. I would never get in the way of that.
Renegade: She has a responsibility to the rest of the galaxy, too.
Neutral: Yes. That she does.
and then the reactions.... bumbumbum
awkward inlaw meeting for the win.

There are defintie parallells to her father.  Both are men that are larger than life in reputation, understand duty and sacrifice and have sacrified much in the name of duty.   I suspect Rael could be as forceful personality wise when he needed. But then you have the differences.  Shepard can be caring, intimate, and protective of her in  a way her father never could be really.    Also Shepard is her peer not her father.  I wonder what Rael was like with Tali's mother before Tali was born.

Rael tried to protect her by not telling her the truth which I am sure she resents.

Sad thing is, we never actually met her father. We only have peoples' perceptions of him. The most we can do, unfortunately, is speculate.

Your right and it is sad. Fortunately we do speculation rather well!:D

Can we not just agree that Tali has both a wonderful personality, AND a wonderful body?

She has the best personality out of any LI, which is why I wanted her since ME1 (I just didn't romance anyone else and pretended she WAS an LI).

Then, as it turns out, she also has the best body in the game (Miranda looks like a half-melted barbie, and Jack looks like a...well, not a lady.)

I agree, tali has the perfect body as well. I mainly love her for her personality and character, but her body matches it perfectly. Her suit brings out her contors, but does not show them off. @heartface

Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Rannoch, where we lay our scene, from ancient grudge break to new liberty, where civil hands from Reaper blood washed clean. From forth the fruitful loins of former foes, a pair of star-cross'd lovers live their life, whose well-adventured piteous overthrows do with their life bury their pears' strife. The joyful passage of their life-mark'd love, and the termination of their pears' rage, which, but their children's love, nought could achieve, is now the two hours' traffic of our DLC. The which if you with patient eyes attend, what here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Also digging this. I thought the Shakespear angle would have run it's course by now, but instead it's getting better!

By this point, I think Stephanie Meyer would make a better ending. Seriously.

Have you seen the other LI threads? They're just as adamant about their LI as we are about Tali. Shouldn't be anything to be afraid about. There's just a deep appreciation for an incredibly well written character, and that character's name is Tali'Zorah vas Normandy. There are some...interesting conversations sometimes but stick around in other LI threads and you'll find similar discussion eventually.

Also, William Shatner's awesome. B) Also just looked up his age. He's 81!

Tali: Is he not approved in the height a villain, that hath slandered, scorned, dishonoured all of us? O! that I were like you. What! bear them in hand until they come to take hands, and then, with public accusation, uncovered slander, unmitigated rancour,—O Keelah, that I were like you! I would eat his heart in the market-place.

Shepard: Hear me, Tali...

Tali: Admirals and worlds! Surely, a reaper testimony, a goodly kid AI; a sweet gallant, surely! O! that I were like you for his sake, or that I had any friend would be like you for my sake! But you are melted into curtsies, valour into compliment, and you are only turned into tongue, and a trim one too: He is now as valiant as Hercules, that only tells a lie and swears it. I cannot be like you with wishing, therefore I will die a woman with grieving.

Shepard: Enough! I am engaged, I will challenge him. I will kiss your hand, and so leave you. By this hand, starchild shall render me a dear account. As you hear of me, so think of me. Go, comfort your people: I must say they are dead; and so, farewell.
