katanas are only single edged, shorter than western swords, and pretty damn worthless compared to many contemporary weapons. The only thing that katanas have over other swords is the, quite frankly, incredible amount of workmanship and labor put into them. They are kinda short, rendered completely useless against even the most basic steel armor, you can't really stab with them, and blocking and parrying with one is inefficient and more disruptive to combat, compared to western longswords. Don't accept the rule of cool.

Ditto. My most endearing memory of in-game Tali is back in ME1. On the trek over to Peak 15 I was getting out of the Mako for kills (trying to level up as high as possible). I didn't get many personally. It was a replay, so I'd decent gear, and Tali was flying straight off into the face of the geth with her Spectre shotgun and flooring most of them before I'd had a chance to line up my shot.

Man! I never see Tali except when she flashes her omnitool and takes out one of em geth with just one overload!!!

Almost missed that one. Well, as he said himself it's basically the Bard's words, he just added Tali. Which basically prooves the law that says if you take two awesome things and put them together the result is awesome squared.

However, I appreciate not everyone likes Shakespear. We all have to learn it in school and usually that leads to either loving or hating it. I love it, though I do hate all the TV versions where they keep the wording the same but randomly update the visuals to be modern day. That's just strange.

The Function for their relationship (From Shepards side) would be, capping variables at 100 for my own scale:

Love(t) = ( ((SQRT(100/2) + ((100 * 100) + (-25) )^2 + (((100 * 100) - 0 )/ 2) * (T)^3) / 1 )

Unfortunately, I had to deduct 25 for the first impression because she talked a lot about her history and not enough about how much she adores Shepard.

The only scale is determined on the limits you're willing to place on the formula. In which case, Tali/Shepard is likely the pinnacle of what one would like to realisticly (or unrealisticly) achieve. Of course.

It's not. The rapier is a straight, thin blade usually with a handguard. It's meant for stabbing and cutting at the tip of the sword.

The Katana is primarily a slashing and cutting weapon along the length of the blade..

Scimitars can do anything. Longswords cannot slash, scimitars can. Lordswords cannot be used at arm's length effectively, while scimitars can. Longswords being straight makes them easy to use, but very "low-capped" in the amount of manouvers that you can execute. With a scimitar you can do ANYTHING. I'm talking about a type of scimitar that is unfamiliar to most people though, not those crescent sabres and falchions from the middle east. REAL scimitar.

Rapiers are as much weapons as steak knives are. Rapiers do nothing but slash you very superficially, and you can't really stab people with one because the blade usually bends over itself. Pretty much weightless though.
