Here's something funny to try and cheer you up...
So this is what the epilogue meant by "... up among stars, where hamsters are giant and humans become legend..."

"Go for the eyes Tali! Go for the eyes!"

"does not mean the geth "revere" their creators. Quite opposite, in fact."
No, it is not "quite the opposite." Most definitely not in fact, anyway. Perhaps revere is a strong word, but respect? Show some measure of compassion towards? Yes. It's definitely not the opposite, which would be outright enmity.
You made some good points on other fronts, though.
Tali might not be as important of a character as most of the supporting ones you listed, but I think it's essential that she does become one in order for the moniker of "Main Character" that Casey Hudson applied to her on his Twitter account in regards to ME3 to be legitimate. If not in regards to the plot, at least in regards to something significant to character development.
That brings me to the topic I wanted to suggest before I go to sleep: In what way should Tali's story be moved forward in Mass Effect 3? For example:
Mass Effect 1: Tali joins your team out of a sense of duty to stop the Reapers. Tali is on her Pilgrimage, this is the vessel of her character development.Mass Effect 2: Tali joins your team out of a sense of loyalty to you beyond doing work for the Fleet, even if it comes to working for the Fleet's enemies for Shepard. Tali is put on trial for Treason, this is the vessel of her character development.Mass Effect 3: Tali joins your team out of a sense of loyalty, and probably also because theReapersareherejesuschristthey'reactuallyhere. Tali _______________________________, and this is the vessel of her character development.
Speculate & fill in the blank.
I'm trying to think about what situation they put Tali's character into lore-wise that moves her forward and is interesting in a significant way that doesn't involve Admiralty. Bioware never lets party member characters just sit on their laurels and remain static, not in any of their RPGs yet even outside of Mass Effect. Tali's writer is once again Patrick Weekes, who is the same writer she had in the previous game. Weekes is writing for Mordin, Garrus and Tali for ME3, and I doubt Bioware has one of their main character writers writing three static characters with no new substance to them.

Actually there are hints the Geth did revere (and they may still do, but we don't know) the Quarians somehow...Atemeus wrote...

Geth appear to have some kind of religious impulse about them (among other things calling dissenters "Heretics") and Legion, while talking about how the Geth have find their way, calls the Quarians their "gods"...
Legion: "We were created as labour for the Quarians, our memories will be archived after death. We are immortal. Our gods have disowned us. We must find our own reason for existing..."
Looking from this perpspective the Geth/Quarian war suddently sounds like the Titanomachy...

I think they see the Quarians simply as their creators or perhaps a parent

I Should explain this one,
Remember after you recruit Tali?
She makes a comment about Shepard and Cerebus?
"If you need a grenade."
In ME3,
They proberly need to grenade Cerebus

Geez man you don't have to castrate him that much.

If i had to choose Tali or Garrus to live at some point, then it would probably make me quit the game in frustration and think about it for some time.

I'd have to save Tali...because she would be able to rebuild Legion out of a box of meccano and a couple of cans of WD40. This means by saving Tali, you can save both her and Legion!
(Edit: I've only just seen your post, Hellbovine. Great minds think alike!)
