Ugh someone should finish my essay for me because I can't think well enough to do it well. DX

Whats it about?

A philosophical research paper on the problem "do computers think?" I have to use and refute a source philosopher and make an argument for my stance.

Do you want me to look something up that can help?

Use the Geth as an example!

Seriously, Turing test?

Cheese of Borg wrote...

When you land on rannoch, she says "Our bodies carried the seeds that spread the desert grass." I can imagine her coming into the house Shep builds, and shaking the seeds out of her hair.

Shepard would probably be covered in them as well.

I read that at first, thought nothing of it.
Read it again, then spat on my screen as I pictured it(from laughter). The things that are said in the Tali thread I swear...Image IPB

If you have a sadistic side, sure (I definitely do), but it's still cruel fun.

I wanted more drama in ME3. Like if you were an ex, if you didn't get back together with them, they would leave in a huff. At least one scene, I wanted.
Its the story writer in me. You put your characters in terrible situations to see what they're made of. If they never react, you never get to see. >_>

But I'm dumb, so BSing is something I fail at miserably.

Point 1: The fact machines reach the same conclusion from a different method of analysis is the same as humans who approach problems from different perspectives but reach the same conclusion. So although they process information in a different way, robots still inherently "Think" to solve the problem.

Point 2: We don't fully understand how our own minds work yet. It's impossible to say if the brain is the only instrument capable of "thinking" without even fully understand our own inner workings.

Point 3: Machines are built by humans using human reasoning and understanding. Therefore, they naturally are built to respond and resolve problems by similar methods and considerations. So, to say they don't "Think" about things is foolish. Even if we already have the answer in our brains (as any program performing a task should) we still need to "Think" to recall the information and use it.

Done.

I agree the conflicting passions should have been explored more, whether or not they lead to jealous or conflict. But then again, there was a lot that should been explored further in ME3.

Not yet, I've been having trouble keeping up with the thread alongside reading FF. I read a paragraph or two and BOOM! new page. Lolwut?

Correct. Since I'm not compensating for anything else that may not be big enough

So at worst she's aggrevated over Shepard's indecisiveness? Still never shows aggression or malice towards Tali or Shepard, pretty admirable considering how deeply she presumably feels about him.

I think it's pretty much how all the characters deal with it if you pull a Jacob on them. The only difference is some of them go and get themselves killed after (never a direct consequence mind). But BW was never going to let Liara get killed, so she just deals with it and moves on. I was disapointed she didn't put up more of a fight, but then she was always going to loose to Tali.

And now I am off again, like properly this time, to sleep perchance to dream (to bring us back to the Shakespear stuff).
