I have never really seen the appeal of Tali. Her personality never really interested me so I never spoke to her, perhaps if I had persevered I would not feel this way. Could someone maybe explain to me what makes her so endearing?

Her whole attitude.
That she's so strong but so vulnerable. That she loves Shepard so much, and is loyal almost to a fault. That she cares so genuinely, and that she has a strong sense of duty, and a love for her people.
She's a complex character, and complex characters take time. Persevere, and you will love as well. (probably)
Tali is love<3

Scientifically proven too.

Solving the mystery is just as important and appealing as investigating it.

I'm not sure about that.

Men have been investigating women for thousands of years. We're no closer to solving the mystery and yet we continue our futile attempts.

On the bright side, they've been doing the same for us, with the same success.

Okay, so humans can actually digest Dextro Amino Acids and naturally convert them to Levo Amino Acids in our bodies. So I'm all up for dextro fries.

It's simple. Humans all delude themselves and are crazy.

Now let's move on to the next "mystery".

Rannoch's description said it had no
insect-like lifeforms, if I remember correctly. Tali's fear of spiders
doesn't necessarily mean she grew up with them on Rannoch (because she
didn't, at all), but it IS something completely foreign, alien, and
absolutely creepy for her. I think there was also a line (cut dialogue,
maybe?) where Tali explains to Shepard that she once had a nightmare
about a male Quarian removing his mask and spiders started pouring out.
There's also an interesting comic someone made of the same thing
happening to Tali.

Wait...  what?  When did Tali say she was afraid of spiders?  I completely missed that chunk of character fluff, apparently.  XD

Also... the spider helmet thing will probably haunt my dreams tonight.  Why, man?  Why?

We've made more progress than you realize.  Physically and mentally.  Perhaps there really is no solution when you think about it; organics are chaotic lifeforms, more prone to whims and random acts than synthetics.  At least, I believe there is no solution.  But, we have learned on our journey to unraveling the mystery, and that matters.

In the meantime, feel free to stare at Tali's back:

Does anyone have Talis dialogue from the memorial wall on hand? In text if possible: the computers on campus suddenly came down with an internet sickness. I blame Arizona.

Teh interwebs. I've been googling because I was curious. The article does mention that dextro amino acides are suspected of inhibiting antibiotics and suppressing the immune system. But that's just suspected. I kind of wonder if BW didn't go a bit overboard on the levo/dextro issues.

Of course there is no evidence or suspicions anywhere on the effect the other way around for obvious reasons, but I don't see why it should always be so deadly.

The spiders thing is also cut content (unless the rachni mission can be completed post-Cerberus coup attempt)

And the whole visions of coursing through your girlfriend thing could be a very kinky way of indoctrinating Shepard... if you prescribe to that theory. (Personally, I don't care, I just hold the line)

But yeah, spider phobia makes no sense whatsoever if Rannoch has no insects, considering it's a leftover ingrained response in humans to be scared of insects (and to be ticklish, at that)

There's the "creepiest things" conversation between Tali and Garrus where she compares the little rachni to spiders, sounding very un-keen on them. Iffy writing, she'd be more likely to make the comparison the other way around if she ever saw spiders.

Quarians are chaotic just like every other organic species.  They may be attacted to some things and repeled by others.  Perhaps Tali's subconscious has genes that believe her to fear spiders.  Who knows?

As for being ticklish...well, being in that suit has probably made her nerves a bit more sensitive, so I say she's ticklish all around her body.  But if I were to guess her 3 most ticklish spots, I would say palm of her hands, feet (third toe may or may not count) and tummy.

If that was in Engineering, it's effectively cut content if Kaidan is the VS (unless you edit the save, and the method of doing so to fix this bug was only recently discovered)

I managed to find the integers that the game checks for, to make gabby and ken banter.

It's int 10330 and 10314. Their combined value has to be atleast 8 To make Gabby and Ken Banter.

You can either set 10314 or 10330 as 8. As long as their combined value is 8 or higher, then they will start bantering.

It
will most likely screw up conversations with Ashley. But im not exactly
sure in what way. But if your running with Kaidan, then it should be
pretty safe.

EDIT: It would seem the engie section checks the
[conditional_863] which either requiers int 10314 + 10330 to be atleast 8
or higher, or that boolean 19724 is set to true

[conditional_863]
(((plot.ints[10314] + plot.ints[10330]) >= 8) || (plot.bools[19724] == true))

You can complete the Rachni/Grunt mission after the coup attempt, it's fine. There are several you can't do after, but the only downside of putting off that one is Wrex isn't onboard to thank you for it.

Most people obviously don't hold off on it and as such don't get the great bit with Tali. I missed it first time around as well. Though taking Javik is cool on that mission too and I took him (I'd say Javik+Tali is optimal companions there).

Tali: "Shepard, this wasn't your fault."

Shepard: "It's not about fault. I was supposed to stop them."

T: "You will."

S: "I don't know if I can do this, Tali. Earth, Palavan, Thessia... I'm risking everything to build the Crucible, and I'm not even sure what it does. Who am I to make that call?"

T: "You're the one who was right. All along. You fought when no one else would. When nobody else believed you. and if that's not enough, you're the man I love. Don't forget that, no matter what happens."

Video for reference later if need be.

The thing I find odd about Tali and the Spiders is that Rannoch has no insect life. Spiders are Arachnids, which is different but it is related and spiders mostly eat insects so it seems unlikely they'd have spiders there. While on space ships that are especially cleaned and sterilized, it seems unlikely many spiders would get aboard.

Still I suppose the fear of getting a spider stuck in your suit may be enough even without them being common.
