There's the "creepiest things" conversation between Tali and Garrus where she compares the little rachni to spiders, sounding very un-keen on them. Iffy writing, she'd be more likely to make the comparison the other way around if she ever saw spiders.

The thing I find odd about Tali and the Spiders is that Rannoch has no insect life. Spiders are Arachnids, which is different but it is related and spiders mostly eat insects so it seems unlikely they'd have spiders there. While on space ships that are especially cleaned and sterilized, it seems unlikely many spiders would get aboard.

Still I suppose the fear of getting a spider stuck in your suit may be enough even without them being common.

Back. Just finished my last class. I was making a cajun crawler in engineering. Basically it will be a chair with large legs moved by a single crank shaft. Now I can get back to Tali.

You can complete the Rachni/Grunt mission after the coup attempt, it's fine. There are several you can't do after, but the only downside of putting off that one is Wrex isn't onboard to thank you for it.

The only "timed" missions in the game are:
- the Grissom Academy mission
- the Cerberus Bomb on Tuchanka mission 
- the Ardat-Yakshi Monastery mission
- the Cerberus Scientists mission

(also, if you want to get techinical, the N7 missions before the Citadel Coup mission aren't techinically timed, but the Citadel side-missions which require certain items from those missions are, because those individuals disappear from the Citadel after the coup attempt)

We've made more progress than you realize.  Physically and mentally.  Perhaps there really is no solution when you think about it; organics are chaotic lifeforms, more prone to whims and random acts than synthetics.  At least, I believe there is no solution.  But, we have learned on our journey to unraveling the mystery, and that matters.

Well, yes she has, at least my Tali has and she didn't seem that bothered by them at the time. Though there wasn't the little tiny swarmers on those missions IIRC.

And the whole visions of coursing through your girlfriend thing could be a very kinky way of indoctrinating Shepard... if you prescribe to that theory. (Personally, I don't care, I just hold the line)

But yeah, spider phobia makes no sense whatsoever if Rannoch has no insects, considering it's a leftover ingrained response in humans to be scared of insects (and to be ticklish, at that)

Don't hate on my crossover heacanon. That is what tali looks like under the mask to me, but with a lot less tendril volume, and no slime. Rannoch is too dry to be drooling in barely-contained hunger.

At worst they would take in no nutrition, at best the body would break down the levo-amino acids into raw material to create their own dextro-amino acids.
