hmm.

Progress!

Let's see if they can do the ending emotional justice. Even if Shepard dies, I'm fine with it if the ending a) makes sense and B) provides closure/catharsis.

Until summer, that's a long time. So the original ending was final, that's kinda disappointing, i (am) was a follower of the IT, well at least they do something.

Agreed. Although there should be a shep lives ending as well, to cover all bases.

They should create a dead shepard end for bad ending and a happy ending too where he can build a house to Tali or at least find her.

Hmm indeed. Well it is free, which is sensible as pretty much everyone will be cynical about its content. As for how satisfactory it will be, that remains to be seen. If they can at least reduce the emotional disapointment levels that is something, though without significant changes it will still be an intellectual disapointment. Plus of course it may be a case of too little too late.

We'll just have to see.

Wait, people still believed that?

It works as an interpretation of the ending, no argument there, but I thought the idea that it was BioWare's intention had been thoroughly disproven for a while now.

Not that the timing of the announcement has anything to do with avoiding a sh**storm at PAX or anything. Not sure that will work.

It make sense, indoctrination will be a good way to answer some question, not all but some, and at the end EA and Bioware do whatever they want, they create and design the game, so don't be surprise if they bring something like that to the table.

Im healing from the ending wounds, and I won't let them to open it again, whenever they decided to do it, I'll be waiting, with hope but no trusting them, they disappointed me once.

For me the game doesn't have an ending yet. I'm forcing myself to go with the indoc theory, its the only thing that could possibly make sense and allow a real ending to be salvaged (IMO).

I learned long ago that there is no point in agonizing about things that I don't control. Therefore I will simply be patient and wait to see what they do, and just enjoy the rest of Mass Effect (including Tali) as is for the time being.

Tali will be sad if you let us down again, BioWare. You don't want to make Tali sad!

Gaaaaah wonder what the free ending DLC will be like. I guess summer isn't *that* far away.

This is quite conflicting! I want time to speed up so I can get the DLC sooner, but I want time to slow down because I have an important deadline in 2 months and tons of work to do before then. Image IPB

I understand why people want the IT to be correct. But I can't really see it (the current ending) as anything but a monumental disaster and feel the only redemption for it is via the harsh, humiliating path of the retcon. It was that bad, it needs erasing from all records and replaced with something that makes sense and fits in with the rest of the series. Furthermore EA should pay for us all to have hypnotism to allow us to suppress the memory of the ending.

For me, these wounds are more like a damage over time...
I think I've lost two bars of health now - surprised shields held as they did.
If they add a Refuse option as well, that'd be good.
The only thing that will tell is time.

For free you can have the same ending with shepard down the walls, plus a deeper breath and then he raise his hand and with an effort he show us the friendly finger....... is what you get for free, want more.... pay for it.

This means that the Normandy with Tali will still crash on that random jungle planet.

Yeah, but the epilogue shows her building a synthetic Shepard and installing the Shepard VI she's been developing on the side. :P

Possibly, but it may become clearer whether or not they can be rescued (I believe they can, they can't have gotten that far). And hopefully they'll also clear up how they got there in the first place.

That's probably a healthy attitude. Image IPB
