I don't know why she bothered having it talk. All a virtual shepard needs to say is "I need to go". Mostly when it heads off to auto-repair post pounce. Even better, have it occasionally walk around the ship saying "Have you got time to talk" and then "I need to go" and the crew would probably think it was the real thing.

I don't want just "more closure and plot holes filled in." I want more endings with more variety where my choices actually mattered. I want an ending that says, "Hey! You have 100% readiness and 6000 EMS and did all these quests throughout the series and made such and such choices! Have a happy ending!" Tali and Shepard must have that house!

But I can't really see it (the current ending) as anything but a monumental disaster and feel the only redemption for it is via the harsh, humiliating path of the retcon. It was that bad, it needs erasing from all records and replaced with something that makes sense and fits in with the rest of the series. Furthermore EA should pay for us all to have hypnotism to allow us to suppress the memory of the ending.

My reaction to the announcement today...
Eh? Clarity? Um, I'm a smart guy. I can imagine what happens after Shepard screws over the galaxy. I don't need an "official" explanation, sorry. Still want an ending.
Mass Effect 3 is like... You've been seeing this girl for a long time, and you're falling for her pretty hard. You might even be in love. Then one day, she pulls you in for a kiss... and she pepper sprays you in the eyes. Adding insult to injury, she takes a hammer to your private parts, steals your money, spits on you for good measure, breaks up with you, and flees the country, never to be heard from again.
