"Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?
Though we remain
committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main
game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure
to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to
the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end
of Commander Shepard's story
."

(My bolding added)

It pretty much means the endings stay as they are.

Undoubtedly deserves a Mordin "Implications...unpleasant"

Hmm, just extra cut scenes and epilogues? Eh... well then again, better than nothing and it's very surprising we're getting something for free, from EA.

The reason it is free is because they know that if they make already livid fans pay for it there will probibally be riots and picket signs outside their headquarters. not to mention the inevitable revenge hacking and or ddoses that will follow :pinched:

i would personally like to ask any hackers on the forum not to do this since it interfears with us playing our games and not just hurting ea's website

*snip for length*

First, I would refraim from any criticism and commenting on EA itself. Bioware, go nuts if you need to, but leave EA alone. That doesn't mean we should shower it with false praise. We should instead fall silent. On surveys, we should choose not to comment or participate. On forums, we should fall quiet. If a statement is necessary, we can say that we give EA the chance to redeem itself as a publisher of great games by creating the DLC the series so desperately needs. With the indoctrination theory being our all-complete favourite.

And secondly, we should completely stop actively participating in the company's cashflow until we get the DLC. Of course that can be hard. But we should do our best. No DLC other than that, no new game, no Bioware points, until we get the closure. This solution can be revoked if the company itself gets into trouble, of course. But it is our right as customers to choose what artwork we want to buy. And obviously they haven't realized what art they should produce if they want to live off it.
*snip f or length and adorb pic*
Tali, I love you more than words can wield the matter; Dearer than eye-sight, space and liberty; Beyond what can be valued, rich or rare; No less than life, with grace, health, beauty, honour; As much a man e'er loved, or husband found; A love that makes breath poor, and speech unable; Beyond all manner of so much I love you

Truer words were never spoken, Mad.

I'm all for this approach. EA is our goal now. We shall overcome.

We shall overcome.

It's kind of funny, but

In ME2, when Liara was going all Shadow Broker on Shepard, I was like "You've got to be kidding me. This here is Commander Shepard. Nothing the universe has to throw at him will bring him down. He can overcome anything. You are dead to me."

Then, in ME3, when Tali said at the first meeting something to the effect of "I didn't contact you because I knew you had a lot on your mind already. I didn't want to worry you." I was all "D'AW CMERE" (but there was no paragon interrupt:crying::crying::crying:)

Double standard, much?

That's right, "Mavrick", I don't like you because you're dangerous! *bites teeth together in an obnoxiously loud douchebaggy fashion*

Patience. These things take time to make. I certainly can't complain, they did what I thought wasn't possible: releasing it for FREE. Still, interesting announcement.... Interesting reactions...

Well this ought to be interesting. A new epilogue DLC, and its free? I'm wary. It could either offer a lot of clarification and closure as they promise, or it may just make things even worse.

I'm typically an optimist, but in this case, I'm sadly expecting it to be the latter result...

*hopes for a house on the homeworld anyway*

I'm usually pessimistic and this whole business is keeping me that way. I find pessimism preferable to having my hopes dashed to pieces.

Anything which doesn't leave the ME series with a happy Tali means a depressed, angry Reorte. She sounded so down just before the final mission :(

i think we should stop coming up with ideas cause last thing we want is for ea to pick the worst fan made endings and than blatantly steal them and ruin the game further
