Yes, yes there is. All laws of the universe are absolutely static throughout the universe. Anything that appears to be otherwise does not actually indicate so, it simply underlines that we do not understand the laws, not that they change. Basically, the four fundamental forces control everything in the universe, and are not conditional based upon any criteria. They simply are.gamer_girl wrote...

Also, I agree that Tali is prejudiced and not racist. Racist just does not seem appropriate for the kind of rationalizing she has for her feelings towards sentient machines. Prejudice has to do with preconcieved judgement, which can be rationalized. Bioware needs dictionary XD kidkidkid

@Shepard and Tali look up instructions on google how to post images on bioware forums. There are some good tutorials on there.

And you know this because you've been to the far reaches of the milky way, right? >_>
Point is, humans are idiots. Science is constantly changing.
We onces believed that the Earth was flat, and that it was the centre of our system. I should then trust the judgement of people on something they have no idea about (the rest of the galaxy) even though they were dumb enough to wholly believe that the Earth was flat?

Science changes because new data is recieved and analyzed. No new data can change the fact that gravity is exactly the same throughout the galaxy. New data may, however, change our view of what gravity actually IS. Dark energy may eventually be found to be an effect of gravity, changing what we understand as gravity, but gravity still remains unchanged from point A to point B. The universe is like that.gamer_girl wrote...

In a semi-related note, does anyone know the speed of gravity?
In a thread-related post, tali is beautiful and charming and admirable and a benefit to galactic society.

Her suit has to be warm because it is mechanical.
It's constantly keeping the internal environment safe for her among many other functions I'm sure.
No machine is 100% efficient and thus must give off energy in the form of heat. Unless in this huge technological jump, machines became 100% efficient, or maybe the rule that machines cannot be entirely efficient is limited to earth.
Hmm...if its a DIY job, then her suit may not be as safe as she thinks it is for space walking...however, for cuddling, it might give off enough body heat to help keep Shepard warm on those cold space nights...might even help them sleep better on top of the mental benefits they gain from cuddling, their bodies don't have to work as hard at generating heat while sleeping. Fascinating...just fascinating.

Precisely so. I study ancient stars in the galactic halo, and I can confirm that it is a great feeling to experience the agreement between our observations and theoretical calculations. The idea of variant laws of physics generally applies to hypothetical "multiverses."
I'm pretty sure EDI discusses this, as well.
EDIT: Information travels at the speed of light (max).

You're missing the point. How can human beings possibly know anything about the rest of the galaxy? We have never been outside the Sol system. Hell, we haven't even been to Mars. You're saying that humans can make a big judgement about the rest of the galaxy based on an insignificant portion of that galaxy?
That's like looking at a car at an astronomical level and saying "oh there's gasoline molecules here, that means the rest of the car is also made of gasoline molecules." It's a fallacy of composition. No sufficient grounds for such an argument, and it's quite frankly ridiculous.

I think the armor layer is the "space walk" layer. The envirosuit cannot be safe in hard vacuum, but the armor layer easily could. And cuddling would be warm for shepard, and cold for tali. Quarian body temp has to be noticably higher than humans, due to ambient temperature on rannoch. She might like that though, as much as we would enjoy snuggling up against her warmth.forthary wrote...

Gamer, the laws of the universe are UNIVERSAL. It doesn't matter if we can only see a few billion light years in every direction, the laws stay the same FOREVER in every direction, which is isotropism. The universe is isotropic. And comparing objects to forces is inherently flawed. They are not liable for comparison, even if you comparison was true.

Well we are pretty sure the laws of physics don't change anywhere else in this universe. There may be other universes with other laws of physics, but within our own galaxy we can be pretty certain that Entropy exists. If we were to assume otherwise we'd pretty much have to throw all of cosmology and theoretical physics out the window. The second law of thermodynamics (entropy) is the doom of our entire universe and all life within it, so it's not something taken lightly.
That's not to say it's 100%, because truth is for all we know we're just inside a giant computer simulation. Reality may not exist and my comments could just be the imagination of a deluded mind experiencing itself in the void. But there's little to gain by thinking along those lines, so I'm sticking with entropy and the inevitable doom of all things. It's a cheery thought. Well, it may keep Tali warm and that's cheery.
