Finding out that then that Tali was a LI in ME2 while waiting for release was beyond satisfying indeed. Playing through ME1 I wanted her to be so badly.

I went into ME2 totally unspoiled.  And I always thought too bad Tali is not available during ME1.  When I ran into her on the one colony and she didn't join me I was bummed.  And then the Haestrom stuff and then Imagine my surprise when Kelly Chambers was all "Tali's into you dude."  Didn't even have to think before going down that route.  

Still though the most touching moment for me is Tali's response when I got her off during her trial.  "I did get better, I got you."  Wasn't even the "romance" moment but it sure felt like it.

Totally unrelated, anyone else notice that Shep is much rawer in his repsonses even in Paragon mode than in earlier ones.  I guess it's one way they show things getting to him.  At least with his squad and close crew I noticed a lot of the responses and options are less "I am the commander all the time."

I think he is really dead. How can a sentient being be auto-saved? Do the geth have the technology to do that on the fly, with the reaper enhanced code in the mix? I doubt it, since legion acted like he was REALLY going to die. He would not lie to shepard-commander and creator-zorah like that.

Ok, let me take a few deep breaths here...Ahh.

I have a feeling that most of this information may be based off of what I learned in Mass Effect 2.  Geth are hundreds if not thousands of programs.  Sometimes Geth can be used to describe software as well as hardware because it is implied that there are far more geth in software than hardware, aka the platforms you see.

Plus, if Legion dies in Mass Effect 2, it realizes that it is about to be terminated, so it attempts to 'auto-save' and tries to find a new carrier, only to be unsuccesful.  If anything, as long as Legion has auto-saved himself at least ONCE on any geth server, it can be braught back, although depending on its last save, some if not most of its memories will not be there.

But you know...maybe it really is terminated for sure.  If it could be braught back, that would be great; It would be interesting to see Creator Zorah's reaction to Legions reconstruction.  But if not...im fine with that, it was just a machine.  I totally understand Tali's mourning of Legion, as geth once were a part of the quarian race, like a sibling.  Even if I don't understand the reasons for Tali's mourning or the whole thing in general, ill be there for Tali to help her mourn and move on, stronger than before.

Legion's death in ME3 was a different circumstance from 2.  Legion was no longer a collective of individual programs working in consensus.   It referred to itself as I, this implies all those programs were fused into one entity somehow.  Also look what is said "I must go to them, direct personality dissemination required."

Legion was the most advanced geth to begin with, when it became a true individual it has to give what it had to the whole consensus.  There'd be no way to save itself because it was distributing the very essence of the individual it has become.  Think of it like how an AI cannot be removed from it's blue box without destroying the AI.  Sad to say I think Legion sacrificed itself.

I think I've become very nitpicky about fanart with the canon design (probably because of all the "starfish" flange Tali's being posted around as some sort of paradigm). 

I appreciate the effort, not so much the tanned skin and split lip.

Hmm, perhaps your right.  But still...ah, that's a topic for later.
