I wonder if Tali's eyes would glow in the dark. Assuming if they're bioluminescent. (sp?) And if they're not, they might easily reflect light, like a cat.
Then again I could be wrong altogether. My biology teacher didnt' cover everything.

I believe that bioluminescent eyes would most be a distinct evolutionary disadvantage as the light incoming from the eye would wash out all incoming light, thus rendering the subject effectively blind. I do not know of any known animals that have occular bioluminescence.

Now as for the cat eyes. This would make the most sense for a biological reason behind quarian eye glow. It would also help to explain the reason why quarians use tinted facemasks, as the animals which possess the "tapetum lucidum" which is required to reflect back light from the retina have inferior vision during daylight. Also the vision tends to be clear during nighttime as the reflected light tends to blur the image seen. So the masks may aid in keeping the incoming light at an optimal level.

Makes sense. Thanks for the update. Never saw her pupils, but I definitely saw irises. And yes, I do see the light reflecting off the visor, Tali must be polishing it hours at a time.

Am I the only one that really likes the idea of Tali being really dark skinned?

I'm optimistic. But i've always thought of quarian's as light skinned.

Weird, I always imagined Tali with that exact same skin tone. Though any other skin tone will suit me just fine.

Althoah a VERY pale violet may make sense, wouldn't you make your suit look like your own skin color?

I always imagine quarians with pale, slightly yellow-ish skin.

This is why I want bioware to show tali's face in me3. They have kept qaurian physiology a secret far too long.

It could make sense but if that was the standard for choosing suit colors that would also mean that Kal'Reegar's skin is blood-red, which would be badass...

Yeah, it would be badass... though I doubt suit color is a direct corellation in all cases.  We've seen quarian medical personel and they always wear red.  Kal might just like the color...  Kal is also an odd duck in that his visor color changes between his two appearances... Haestrom and the trial.  I suspect that Kal was wearing a scavenged visor on Haestrom after his own was destroyed.  "Dieing from a smashed visor, now that's embarassing."

But... it would make some sense if there was a corellation, if people can never see your face then you might want to give some clue as to your appearance.  Visor color, veil pattern, suit color, and so forth may be designed to give clues as to appearance.  Which does make Tali and oddity among quarians, she is the only one with a swirl pattern, everyone else seems to have either straight lines or a cross-stich pattern (or plain red in the case of medics and doctors).

Although on the other hand it is just as likely that it is a purely aesthetic choice, we don't even know how much of a variation in skin tone is present in quarians, could be they are all fairly similar and just choose colors based on personal preference (seems the most likely reason).

Would also work with the method in ME1 where Tali had multiple differently colored suits (I miss Colossus X).

I've never heard that I think it's Talihaters spreading that.

With the inherent danger of any operations with their immune system I would doubt they would go into extensive cybernetic modification that did not directly help them survive (things like automated antibiotic injectors.)

Those tubes in the back of the head are most likely for air supply and filtration.

As for the ME1 codex entry it seems pretty likely that people believe those sort of rumors simply because they don't ever get to see what is underneath the suit, I doubt they have much basis in reality.

On the contrary, I think the Quarian's unique immune system would make them excellent candidants for cypernetic implants and agumentation. When an organ or machine part (e.g a pacemaker) is implanted into humans, our bodies often have problems accepting the implant and can reject it. Since Quarians adapt to contamination instead of fighting it, their immune systems would be less likely to reject their implants or need immunosuppressants to accept them.

It's a lie. Why would she die if there is already a picture of her in ME3, alive and well. I doubt that she get's turned into a collector because she's a full-time squaddie. The other guy was right, it's just Talihaters trying to get into your head.

The only thing I'm hoping for in her look is they preserve that glowing eye type of feature I'm hoping she has Riddick eyes. They look like they would be that minus the special visor. And I also hope maybe when they land on Rannock someone explains as to why they have glowing eyes and geth have headlamps there has to be a natural advantage type of reason for this.

You make a good point that they would be more capable of adapting to modifications, but would they have the resources to spend on non-essential modifications? Also with the danger of malfunctions of air filtration systems and the like on the fleet would they endanger people for non-essential upgrades?

People are messing with dude. Bioware would never do anything close to what you are describing.
